🏐 ROUND 3 – COWRA NETBALL WINTER COMPETITION 🩷

We’re looking forward to another great day of netball this Saturday as Round 3 of our Winter Competition gets underway.

Finalised junior teams and this Saturday’s junior draw will be available by Friday at the latest. Thank you everyone for your patience while grading and team allocations are finalised.

We can’t wait to see all our players back on court for another fun day of netty! 🏐

🏐🏐🏐 Just a friendly reminder about jewellery restrictions for our Winter Netball Competition 🩷🤍🖤

For player safety, all jewellery must be removed prior to taking the court, including earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets and piercings.

Exceptions are:
• A medical alert bracelet
• A plain wedding band

Both exceptions must be securely taped prior to game play.

‼️ Watches & fitness watches must also be removed before taking the court.

Please remember that taping over other jewellery is not permitted, and new piercings must be removed or players will be unable to take the court.

These rules are in place for the safety of all players and will be enforced by our umpires at all times.

SET focuses on refining fundamental motor skills while introducing modified match play in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment.

🏐 Cowra Netball Winter Competition – Round 2 ❄️

We’re back for another great day of netball as we head into Round 2 of our winter competition.

Our junior netballers will follow the same format as last week:
✨ 5–6’s – Skills & drills followed by a mini game
✨ 7–9’s, 10–11’s & C Grade – Round robin rotation as we head into the final week of grading

👉 Please make sure you head to the same coach as Round 1 for instructions on arrival.

🌟 Forbes Carnival Wrap-Up 🌟

A huge congratulations to all of our Cowra Netball teams who travelled to Forbes yesterday and represented our association with pride 🩷🤍🖤

We had an amazing group of teams take to the courts:
• 10’s Development
• 11’s Development
• 12’s Rep
• 13’s Rep
• 15’s Rep
• 17’s Rep

It’s fantastic to see our players continuing to grow in confidence, skill and teamwork each time they step out on court. Carnivals like this are such a valuable experience, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, sportsmanship and determination shown by all teams.

A big thank you also goes to our dedicated umpires who came along for the ride. Your support and commitment never go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything you do for our players and the game.

Well done everyone, and we look forward to the next one.

🏐 What a fantastic start to our Winter Competition! 🏐

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported Round 1 of Cowra Netball yesterday. It was wonderful to see so many new and returning faces back at the courts.

From our 5–6’s right through to our senior games, there was plenty of fun, energy, and great competition on display all day.

A massive shoutout to our incredible committee – it truly was a team effort, with everyone jumping in wherever needed to make the day run smoothly.

We’d also like to give a special mention to all of our amazing volunteers – our coaches, umpires, canteen helpers, and everyone behind the scenes. Your time and effort do not go unnoticed.

And of course, to our players, parents, and supporters – thank you for being such an important part of Cowra Netball. We can’t wait to do it all again next week!

📣 Finals Eligibility Reminder 🏐

A reminder to all players in the following divisions:
10–11’s, C Grade, B Grade & A Grade

To be eligible to play in finals this season, players must participate in a minimum of 4 matches. This will be tracked and monitored throughout the season.

✅ IMPORTANT – Scoresheet Sign On
All players must sign the scoresheet board each week.
If you do not sign on, you will be marked as absent, and that game will not count toward your match total.

✍️ Check Your Name
If your name does not appear on the scoresheet:
• Please write your name on the sheet
• Advise a member of the committee so we can update it for future weeks

Let’s make sure everyone is doing the right thing to stay eligible for finals! 🙌

🚨 Reminder to All Players, Spectators & Supporters 🚨

As we head into the winter competition, we would like to remind everyone that many of our umpires and coaches are under 18 years of age.

These young people are learning, developing, and giving up their time to support our competition, as are all of our volunteers and officials, and they deserve to be treated with respect at all times.

Umpires who are under 18 years of age will be wearing bright pink socks so keep an eye out for them and let's all support them doing their best.

❌ Do not approach or speak negatively to any junior umpire or coach.
❌ This includes questioning decisions, criticising performance, or any form of confrontation.

If you have a concern or issue during a game, please:
👉 Speak with the supervising adult, or
👉 Approach a Committee Member for assistance

Let’s all play our part in creating a positive, supportive and respectful environment for everyone involved in our netball community.
