High intensity training gets a lot of opinions thrown at women over 40 — and most of them are outdated.

I’m all about lifting weights and building strength, that foundation is non-negotiable. But adding higher intensity work is what makes me feel alive, athletic, and powerful in my body.

For me, it’s not either/or. A mix of strength training and intensity is the sweet spot.

You don’t have to shrink your training as you age — you just have to train in a way that works for you, not who someone else thinks you should be.

Busy mum workout you can actually fit into your day.
This is a 12-minute mini metcon made up of simple, effective movements to get you moving, strengthen your body, and build a bit of consistency without needing a long session.
How it works:
Minute 1: Overhead Marches
Minute 2: Glute Bridge with Squeeze
Minute 3: Around the World
Repeat for 4 rounds (12 minutes total)

You work for the full minute, then move on to the next exercise. Keep the pace steady and focus on good form rather than speed.
