A massive roll up at QEMSC Community Group "The Big Chill" event with over 140 competitors.

There's also a very healthy list of the Superbike Masters cohort for this round.

There's certainly no shortage of interest in historic racing! And why wouldn't there be with a fantastic atmosphere amoungst competitors.

Encouraged by the entries for this round on Monday and Tuesday this week, ASBK have kindly extended the deadline for entries for Superbike Masters to midnight this Sunday the 21st of June.

So if you were waiting on some last minute parts / engines, or reorganising social commitments, we've secured some extra time to get that squared away.

Thank you to our ASBK advocates and MA / ASBK organisers working hard behind the scenes to allow this consideration and we hope we can reciprocate with some additional entries.

Some key points to update everyone on the ASBK QR Round.

* Entries close at 7pm tonight! (16/6/26)
* The pit facilities will be the carports on pit lane (not garages as we mistakenly published) This will actually suit our class better anyway as there's a more social atmosphere and spectators can see our bikes more easily.
* The races will be live streamed.
* There have been a large number of P7 logbooks issued over the past few months so we'd love to see a big representation for the multiple classes listed (as per Ridernet screenshot)

We continue to have productive meetings with our ASBK advocates and we'll be able to share some more updates progress after our meeting with Ma / ASBK at QR at the end of the month.

*********MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT*********

We are very pleased to announce the Australian Superbike Masters Race Series and ASBK / MA have reached an in principle agreement to work together to combine the Darren Lark Memorial Cup - ASBK Superbike Masters Race Series and our club level Australian Superbike Masters Race Series.

This is fantastic news and will be formalised in follow up meetings over the coming weeks.

Until then, we would like to encourage as many riders and teams to enter Round 5 of the ASBK Superbike Masters at QR on the 27th and 28th of June, 2026.

Keys points for this round include;

* Late entries are being accepted on Ridernet for Superbike Masters with no penalty fee
* Pit lane garages will be allocated to entrants
* P5 Unlimited entrants are welcome in the P6 Unlimited class (points only awarded for P6 class)

In the short time we've engaged with the primary organisers of ASBK Superbike Masters, we've found significant common ground. There is a very positive intent to combine the events into the Summer Series of ASBK this year while continuing to support the grass roots club level events.

This includes a drive to bring back P5 into the Darren Lark Memorial Cup once we can satisfy some regulatory question marks.

To help achieve this we'd really want to demonstrate our commitment of cooperation by lifting the number of entrants at the QR round.

The next Superbike Masters event at "The Big Chill" at Morgan Park will be a fantastic follow up.

So, we know it's short notice, and many will already have plans, but if you can make it work, jump onto Ridernet and get your entry in ASAP!

Please feel free to message / comment / email with any questions you may have.

And the winner of P6 Unlimited class for round 2 is Jim Agombar!

Not only did he take home the chocolates for the round he was also the recipient of the Ricondi / Road and Race gloves for the round.

With heaps of track time on a well run two day race meeting by Hartwell Motorcycle Club it's no wonder Jim was smiling all the way home.

He's also now very keen for Superbike Masters round 3 at Morgan Park at the 'Big Chill" on the 11th and 12th of July with QEMSC. **Edit from original post - Big Chill is 11th and 12th July **

We're expecting quite a large field for the Qld round so keep an eye out on our socials for the entries opening.

It's was a much depleted field for Round 2 of the Superbike Masters last weekend with Hartwell Motorcycle Club .

But that meant a greater chance of winning the prizes and those that did make the effort were rewarded with great track conditions and a well run round.

And to that end, Steve Harley won the White's Racing Products / Bridgestone tyres for the round.

While we couldn't get Steve to smile for the photo (he thought he was being punked) he was very happy to come away with the set of Bridgestone tyres.
