Big day at the Island! Running two karts in the final Victorian Superkart Club round.
Martin Anderson qualified 3rd in Rotax Max Heavy and ran on the front group all day for a fourth overall. Just couldn’t quite keep the draft but looking forward to a big 2025.
Current NZ & Aus Rotax Light Champion Tyler Edney stepped up to 125cc Gearbox with a baptism of fire. Having never changed gears or even seen the Phillip Island track he was up against it deok the get go. After qualifying 5th he when straight into the lead in race one before the engine seized. After losing valuable tracktime with running a new cylinder and piston in in the remaining heats he started the final again from 5th.
An impressive drive followed as he went to the lead and took 6 seconds off his fastest lap time, winning the race and setting a fastest lap .4 off the lap record. Not bad for only 9 laps at race pace.
That finishes the race season and we now look to 2025 where we will compete again in multiple class and venture back to Europe again!😎
