Tough weekend at Winton for the opening round of the Nationals. Friday started strong with some of the fastest times of the day in the dry, and the car felt fast enough to fight for the lead. However, Saturday and Sunday proved more difficult. After qualifying P7 due to heavy traffic and a MoTeC failure, I managed a strong drive in Race 1, fighting from P7 up to P3. Unfortunately, a self-reported contact incident resulted in a 10-second penalty that dropped us back, and the wet weather on Sunday made it hard to find a comfortable rhythm.

After a few mistakes and a spin in the final race, I focused on bringing the car home to finish P12. While the results weren’t what we wanted, the speed we showed on Friday and during the Race 1 comeback proves the potential is there. We have a break now before heading up to Sydney, which gives us the perfect opportunity to reset the car and our trackside operation. I am looking forward to getting back to basics and showing what we are truly capable of for the rest of the season. See you in Sydney. 🏁
