Boat handling education session 22 june.

It was wonderful having some incredibly experienced skippers training us on how to handle our boats. The education session was very well attended and we all came out with a much greater knowledge of our boats and what they can do.

After a good theory session we practiced turning 360 degrees with just motors, putting the boat on the dock in tight spots, reversing onto the dock to let guests off, +++.

Thank you so much

Kings birthday weekend brisbane waters adventure.
A fleet of 5 boats set off on the cruise to the Brisbane Waters on the weekend. We were kindly met by locals, graeme shelden and tony bennett, at little box head and escorted through the tight ettalong passage fortunately in very calm conditions.

We all berthed at the koolewong marina.
What a great marina and how good is it being on shore power!

After bacon and egg rolls on arrival,
We had a fabulous greek dinner at kefi restaurant in the marina. The lamb was amazing.

A cruise in the morning to find a hidden waterfall. Then a stunning seafood lunch at fishermans wharf woy woy. Wow. What a feast. How good was the snapper and salmon?

Drinks and nibbles overlooking the marina ending a great day.

After breakfast mon morning the fleet headed home. The calm seas had disappeared going through ettalong with 40knot wind gusts and white water waves. But we all made it through ok.

A fabulous weekend and adventure to remember.

Thank you graeme and tony for hosting us. We will be back.

A great boating education session at KMYC Founders Lounge this morning…..Scot Wheelhouse and his First Mate Dane Skagen held a very informative session on Basic Boating Maintenance to 20+ members followed by a casual BBQ. A great learning experience to allow members to get the best from their vessels……the sausage sizzle to relax among friends

Wow what a night! The 2024 end of season cocktail party dinner. We really saw the season off with a bang.

The clubhouse looked spectacular decorated in the 1920s gatsby theme and the costumes that everyone wore were amazing.

The food was fabulous and the live band delivered again with everyone up and dancing.

That's one party to remember.

Bring on next season.

Belated post for the pontoon dinner sat 17th feb.

What a night! A fabulous spit roast dinner followed by live music and dancing. The love boat was overrun by so many captains.

First time in a long while the pontoon was used. What a great venue.

Once again we got lucky with the weather. The storms that hit the central coast missed us.

Anyone want a great esky/cooler for their boat?
We used this one for camping, but have bought two medium-sized ones instead (same brand as they are fantastic). This one is 111L still in excellent condition $200 (new price $400+). Can deliver to club for you.
Approx 105cm W x 52cm D x 45cm H.
Stacked with block ice from club it keeps items cool for a week or more.
Richard Hunt, Rob D Harrington-Johnson suit any of your boats?

Belated post for the kmyc xmas party

What a fabulous night. All that attended said it was one of the best kmyc parties.

Champagne on arrival, great food, the band "off balance" were incredible and played till 11 20 with 4 encores and everybody dancing. Trent singing was special.

Fortunately the torential rain missed us and we were blessed with 2 rainbows.

Bring on xmas 2023

On the weekend the newly completed overflow carpark was officially opened with a TailGate party.
After a brief speech and sheltering from the heavy rain we took the party to the founders lounge. The food was excellent and all had a great time.
Well done to scot rose garry and dawn for organising.
Btw the new car park drainage worked perfectly

On the October long weekend 10 boats ventured to Berowra Waters.
On Sunday the team went up the river by dinghy then dinner at Berowra Waters Inn (which is under new management). The timing was great getting there at 6pm as last orders at 7:30pm.
Monday cruised around by dinghy looking at sunken boats on moorings and coffee at the restaurant. The fleet left around 1:30pm Monday after a fabulous weekend.
