🐟 124kg TUNA HITS OUR SCALES!
We had a fantastic visit today from Con, Mo & a friend who made the trip up from Inverloch to use our weigh-in facilities — and what a reason to make the journey! Their Tuna tipped the scales at a staggering 124kg. 🎣
A fish like that deserves some serious recognition — congratulations to the whole crew on an absolutely incredible catch!

Seeing non-members making the trip to Corinella to use our facilities is what it's all about. We'd love to have you join the CBAC family! 👋

We had a great visit today from Jayden — not a member, but we were happy to help him get his impressive Southern Bluefin on the scales. The result? A massive 101.7kg! 🎣

FREE W***Y!! 🐳😂

Members Paul, Brandon and Steve headed out from Corinella today for a fish and got a whole lot more than they bargained for!

Not one but TWO whales decided to put on an absolute show — making their way all the way up to the Lang Lang side before heading back toward San Remo, around Pelican Island and up into Mosquito Channel. Doing laps up and down for most of the day!

What an incredible thing to witness out on the water. Added to the monster Tuna yesterday you just can't beat days like this! 🌊❤️

It was long overdue but the channel markers have been upgraded. Thanks to all involved for getting it done. Hopefully no more running aground…….

New navigational marks are now in place at Corinella Channel, providing boaters with safer access in and out of the popular channel.

Parks Victoria began installing the navigational marks at Corinella in late April to provide safer transit for boaters. The upgrade works included replacing 2 marks at the channel entrance and installing 3 new navigation marks along the channel.

Additional navigation marks have also be upgraded within Western Port, along with removing some old tide gauge special marks.

This project was made possible thanks to your boating licence and registration fees through the Victorian Government’s Better Boating Fund.

Parks Victoria is also finalising a project to improve the marine lanterns in Port Phillip and Western Port, with installation of satellite lanterns nearing completion. This ensures lanterns can be remotely controlled without reliance on cellular networks, in turn improving safety for all boaters navigating the area in the early morning and evenings.

Member Andrew Holden made the most of an early start last weekend, heading offshore from Port Welshpool for a crack at some gummies. 🌅

Andrew found a ledge holding plenty of bait — and a couple of gummies not far behind! There's nothing quite like an early dawn on the water. Well done Andrew! 🦈
