Westside HQ Snooker Club

Hi All
It is with great sadness to inform you, the members, that the Westside HQ (Sherwood) Snooker Club has been abolished after 55 years.
The main Club has decided to remove the Snooker Committee and take control of the running of all aspects of the Snooker Room.
There will no longer be Members of the Snooker Club, as we no longer have a Club. You will only need to be a Member of the main Club.
There will be a Sub Committee for meetings for anyone who wants to attend from those who are members of the Main Club. These days and times will be notified from the Main Club.
All competitions shall be controlled by the main club with the assistance of any former members of the defunk Snooker Club. I don't think management realise the amount of work involved in running the competitions with putting up nominations, doing the draws and making sure they run on time and being available to referee the Finals.
Finally, I would like to thank all those who have served on the Committees over the years. Special thanks go out to Geoff Millichap our Treasurer of 31 years, our Secretary Jacky Jordan also of 31 years.
I am proud to be the longest serving President of the Snooker Club. It has been a pleasure to be involved with Snooker and Billiards for such a long time.

Snooker members
Tomorrow at end of business the snooker tables and snooker room will be closed for refurbishment
We were informed this morning that this has been brought forward sorry for any inconvenience
We hope to have a brand new fresh room with reclothed tables open for all members by Anzac Day 2026

Snooker Room Closing for Renovations

Westside HQ will soon commence the next stage of renovations by upgrading the entire top floor, including the Snooker Room.
As a result, we have been asked to dismantle all 3 tables and to place them in storage during the renovations.
This means that the Snooker Room will be closing from Monday 9th February for approximately 3 months.
When the renovations are complete and it’s time to reassemble the tables, we will be doing so with brand new cloth.
We apologise for the inconvenience and will keep you updated as the renovations progress.
