After Cyclone Narelle, we’re so happy to be back on the water and welcoming you to Ningaloo Reef again 🙌

A huge thank you to all the incredible teams — DFES, SES, and the volunteers — who have worked tirelessly to help clean up Coral Bay and get the town back on its feet. We’re so grateful 💙

Our thoughts are also with everyone who has been impacted by the cyclone — we know many are still dealing with the aftermath, and we’re thinking of you.

The reef is looking beautiful and we’re ready to share it with you once again 🐠✨

A year of action for Ningaloo Reef Dive 🌊
In 2025 we reduced our footprint, supported conservation, shared unforgettable marine encounters and were recognised as a PADI Eco Centre.
None of this happens without our amazing crew, guests and partners — thank you for being part of the journey.

Every encounter is a reminder of how important it is to protect our reefs and marine life.

🌊 A Manta Ray Named in Love 💙

Ian and his son Alfie came diving with us to celebrate the life of Ian’s mother—Alfie’s grandma—who had always dreamed of seeing a manta ray but never got the chance.
We promised them we’d find one to name in her honour… and now, F300 will forever be Ann. 🐋✨

What makes this story even more special? Life had other plans: their holiday was meant to be a family of five, but Jess and Matt had to pull out—they’re expecting their first child! Tracy also stepped back so Ian and Alfie could dive freely.

Ian said it best:
“We are so happy we didn’t cancel. Otherwise, we would never have had such a wonderful experience… Genuinely eternally grateful.”

Now, every story they tell of Australia will include Ann the manta ray—a beautiful tribute to family, love, and adventure. 💫

The grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos) often visits cleaning stations on coral reefs, where it interacts with the blue streak cleaner wrasse (Labroides dimidiatus).

During these interactions, the wrasse feed on parasites, dead skin, and excess mucus from the shark’s body, gills, and even inside its mouth.

This is an example of mutualism, a type of symbiotic relationship where both species benefit:

• The shark gains improved health and reduced parasite loads.
• The wrasse gains a reliable source of food.
