Phil Wallace was runner up in the Zone 8 Senior Singles at the weekend. He had a strong win from Henty’s Peter Forrke in the semi final only to be beaten by Young’s Peter Watts in the final. John Harriott was beaten by the eventual winner in Junee’s Corey Hazell in the semi final of the Open division.
In a Club Championship Minor Singles game, Phil Ager continued his dominance of Geoff Manwaring winning 25-23.
Low numbers for Social this week with very hot weather. On Wednesday Brian Driscoll & Geoff Hillier defeated Phil Ager & Mick Andrews, on Friday Ed Brown & Bill Robertson defeated Anthony Dawson & Kevin Medcalf and Danny Pinney & Phil Ager defeated Geoff Hagan & Ron Tarbitt and on Sunday Geoff Hagan, Ed Brown & Geoff Hillier defeated Di Olds, Anthony Dawson & Ash Bettridge
All Social Bowls will start at 11.am with names to be in by 10.30.
This weekend will see the Carpet Court Triples Tournament over 2 days so there will be no Social Bowls on Sunday.
