A New Chapter for Sunshine Coast Saddlery
After 10 incredible years, Sunshine Coast Saddlery will be closing the doors to our physical store in the coming months—but we’re not going anywhere! We’ll be continuing online and look forward to staying connected with you all in the digital space.
Lee and I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every single one of you who’s supported us over the past decade. It’s been an absolute privilege to be part of your journeys—from watching local kids grow into confident riders and kind humans, to sharing laughs, stories, and so many memorable moments. We’re truly grateful for the friendships we’ve made along the way.
This decision hasn’t come easily. In addition to increasing operational costs and the mounting pressures of a struggling retail industry, we’ve also faced some personal health challenges that have made it harder to keep up with the demands of running a physical store. The rising cost of living has hit hard—especially for horse people already juggling the growing prices of feed, care, and everything in between. It’s been a double whammy that’s made it unsustainable to continue in the same way.
Running an independent business in a market dominated by chain stores brings its own challenges, especially as more suppliers expand into direct-to-consumer sales. Despite this, we remain committed to offering a knowledgeable, personalised service as a genuine alternative, and we truly appreciate your continued support.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be clearing stock to make way for the exciting new direction of our online store—so keep an eye out for some big sales and great deals. We’d love your support during this transition, and we hope you’ll stop by, say hello, and help us close this chapter on a high note.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built and excited for what’s next as we focus on growing our online store into something fresh, flexible, and still very much a part of the local equestrian community.
