Phew! What a top couple of days! Great training for WMCC Christmas Celebration weekend.

A huge shout out to all involved for bringing the event together. Congratulations to the place getters in the Saturday Night Cut Out.

With what has already been a sad year with the legends we have lost, we say goodbye to one of the greats — a true stockman and horseman, Robin Avery.
Robin carried with him a wealth of knowledge, patience, and the kind of wisdom that can’t be taught — only earned through a life lived close to the land. He had time for people, a deep love for his horses and cattle, and a steady presence.
To those lucky enough to know him, Robin wasn’t just a stockman — he was a mentor, a friend, and a legend in his own right. His legacy will live on in the stories, the skills he passed down, and the lives he touched along the way.

It is with heavy hearts that the Watagan Mountains Campdraft Club acknowledges the recent passing of two truly remarkable individuals, Mick Alchin and Pat Yates. Both Mick and Pat were pillars of our campdraft community, known for their exceptional horsemanship, wisdom, and unwavering dedication. They left an indelible mark on so many of us, sharing their knowledge and passion freely.

Both Mick and Pat were an integral part of our club and helped build it into what it is today.

We observed a minute of silence to remember these great men, and we send our heartfelt sympathies to their families. Their legacies will live on in the arenas. May they rest in eternal peace.
