โš ๏ธ Important Community Reminder โš ๏ธ

Over the past couple of days weโ€™ve had incidents that are unacceptable. This incident is a video of a car pulling a person behind it through flooded areas. We've also had cars doing burnouts.

While it may look like harmless fun, it actually raises some serious safety concerns and can also cause significant damage to community sporting grounds.

Flooded fields and open spaces might seem tempting to play in, but vehicles driving through them can:

๐Ÿšซ Put children at risk of injury
๐Ÿšซ Damage the playing surface and underground drainage
๐Ÿšซ Leave ruts that take months and significant cost for volunteers to repair
๐Ÿšซ Delay the start of junior sport while fields recover

Our grounds are maintained by a small group of hardworking volunteers for the benefit of the whole community and our kids. Damage from activities like this can impact an entire season of sport.

We kindly ask everyone to respect the grounds and think about safety, especially when children are involved.

Letโ€™s look after our facilities so theyโ€™re ready for the kids to enjoy when the fields dry out. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‰

Coach Sharon says "After coaching Will last year at the Pomona Cooran Cutters, I had no doubt he would achieve this. He plays with so much heart, strength and determination โ€” and thatโ€™s what sets him apart. This young man is going places"

We are beyond proud of you, Will. While we are absolutely devastated we couldnโ€™t get a team together for you at the Cutters this year โ€” it would have been something special โ€” seeing you reach this milestone makes it all worthwhile.

Social Rugby Touch is cancelled today. The rain is coming in pretty thick, so we are going to leave it today. See you next week.

Also, Teagan is still going down for Sign On this arvo. If you haven't signed your child up yet, please come down this arvo and get it done. Maybe.......if it's not raining, she may take them out for a run but it doesn't look very hopeful. I will also be out there on Saturday morning at 9am for Sign On as well. And happy to do a run with the kids if it's not raining.
