Results from the 18th July
Trish had a great round and finished with 37 pts, to beat Kerry Vallette by 1.
Ball winners (i think) Kerry, Paul and Patrick, Ashley....

There are no results from the 25th as no one wants to learn to put scores in computer....or use online scoring.... though i can see 4 ppl that are trying - THANK YOU.

Champions were Brad and Jane, and Handicap = Julie and Yogi.

Results from Coonamble - Stan Capewell did very well and took home a couple prizes.
Warren Ladies - no results yet but the course looked amazing from the drive past! 🙃

Birthday girl Zoe took out another win! with 36 points.

This weekend is a stableford and SUNDAY is the mixed foursomes, so grab a partner and we will see you out on the course for 27holes of FUN...maybe....

The Coonamble Open is also on Sunday if you would like to attend.

Liberty Fuel MM

Thanks to Craig Bennell for getting Liberty Fuel on board for our July Monthly Medal.

Good scores in the men’s side, with Steve Morrssiey coming in with net 74 to win on a count back from Nathan Nagy, and Graeme Keppie had 75 on a count back to take 3rd place.

The women’s Monthly Medal had some rather larger scores, and Zoe finally took the win with a net 79! (a win a win I guess – even with that score!) 2nd was Sandara with a net 80.

Ball winners were Ashley, Chook, Stan, Brad and Frank Nottle

Putting Comp; was shared by 3 people! Julie, Salty and Yogi. The pool of money will start again.

A group of us went to Binnaway on Sunday for their Open, it was a cold start but the day warmed up. Thanks to Binnaway for a great day as always. Not sure of winners….

This week, Stableford on Saturday and our 2nd 9hole NSW Golf Event Sunday. Tee off after the draws.

Next week; normal golf Saturday and Sunday the annual MIXED FOURSOMES sponsored by Neal and Yogi.

Do you store Lithium Batteries at Club sheds?
Do you charge these at club? - well DONT!
Is your cart insured????

South West Rocks this week, 40 private and 11 club carts gone. High on the suspect list a member storing and charging a walk behind electric lithium battery.
Other clubs that have similar situations
Eastern Golf Club (Yering, Victoria): A massive 2023 blaze destroyed the multi-million dollar clubhouse, pro shop, and dining rooms after a fire started in the buggy charging area.

Brisbane Golf Club (Queensland): A severe 2023 fire destroyed the club’s pro shop and a buggy storage shed, leaving hundreds of members’ clubs damaged.

The Lakes Golf Club (Sydney, New South Wales): A 2022 storage shed fire destroyed hundreds of sets of golf clubs, which was linked to lithium battery power supplies.

Manly Golf Club (Sydney, New South Wales): Suffered significant losses in 2022 from a fire started by lithium batteries being charged under the building.

Please do not charge or store lithium batteries at the club sheds, also make sure your insurance is up to date. It’s the cart owners responsibility to insure your own cart not the clubs.
