WLG - WEDNESDAY PROCOMP – MOFFAT MAKES IT A DOUBLE

An excellent day for Paul Moffat, who backed up his Grade C victory in the Vets competition by taking out today’s Medley Stableford ProComp.

A field of 51 players contested the ProComp, with Paul’s terrific 41 Stableford points enough to secure the win.

1st – Paul Moffat – 41 points
2nd – Catherine Pank – 40 points C/B
3rd – Neil Bourque – 40 points
4th – Steven Kohler – 39 points
5th – Ian Webb – 38 points C/B

It was a particularly impressive day for the Vets, with the top four ProComp finishers also featuring among the leading players in their respective Vets grades.

Congratulations to Paul on a terrific double victory and to Catherine, Neil, Steven and Ian on some excellent scoring.

VETS STABLEFORD – MOFFAT LEADS THE SCORING

A strong field of 59 players took to Worrigee Links today for the Wednesday Vets Open Single Stableford, with some excellent scoring across all three grades.

The round of the day belonged to Paul Moffat, whose outstanding 41 points saw him lead a particularly strong Grade C leaderboard.

2nd – Paul Wallace – 37 points
3rd – Kelvin Turner – 36 points C/B

1st – Greg McClure – 37 points

WLG - TUESDAY PROCOMP – CHAPPEL FIRES 43

Some outstanding scoring in today’s Tuesday ProComp, with 20 players taking to Worrigee Links.

Matthew Chappel led the way with an excellent 43 Stableford points off a daily handicap of 14 to claim the win.

A special mention to Janice Bourque, whose 42 points not only earned her second place in the ProComp but also secured victory in today’s Ladies Open.

WLG - LADIES SINGLE STABLEFORD COMPETITION – BOURQUE LEADS THE WAY

A field of 16 ladies contested today’s Ladies Single Stableford at Worrigee Links, with some excellent scoring at the top of the leaderboard.

Janice Bourque produced the round of the day with a terrific 42 Stableford points to take the honours.

There was plenty happening with the novelty events as well. Alison McMaster had a particularly good day, taking the B Grade Longest Drive and producing an excellent 8cm Drive & Pitch on the 12th.

A field of 13 players took to Worrigee Links for Sunday’s ProComp, with Samuel Shewring from The Country Club St Georges Basin producing an outstanding round.

Playing off a daily handicap of 24, Samuel returned an excellent 42 Stableford points to take the honours.

SEPTEMBER H. PARSONS MONTHLY MEDAL – SOME GREAT SCORING AT WORRIGEE

A field of 88 players contested today’s September Monthly Medal at Worrigee Links, with some excellent scoring across all three grades. Looks more like a PGA Tour leaderboard with all those sub-70 scores. Most golfers just avoided the strong winds that hit around 13:00.

Congratulations to Jason Hogan for winning back to back H. Parson's Monthly Medals, retaining the Mug for another month.

Grade A
1st – Ben Philpott – 66 Nett
2nd – John King – 67 Nett
3rd – Zac Blattner – 68 Nett

Grade B
1st – Jason Hogan – 65 Nett
2nd – Dean Smith – 68 Nett
3rd – Brandon Booth – 69 Nett

Grade C
1st – Gregory Goswell – 66 Nett C/B
2nd – Jeffrey Power – 66 Nett C/B

Some particularly tight scoring in Grade C, with all three placegetters finishing on 66!

Gross Stableford honours went to Megan Bathgate with 30 points, ahead of Kelvin Turner on 24 and Daniel Brown on 19.

There was also some terrific accuracy on display. Megan Bathgate hit her Drive & Pitch on the 4th to just 20cm, while Daniel Brown went even closer on the 15th at an outstanding 4cm.

A great field of 50 players representing the Navy took to Worrigee Links for today’s Friday ProComp, with some strong scoring.

Grade B
1st – Mishka Rayner – 41 C/B
2nd – Stuart Walters – 41 points
3rd – Justin Jacobson – 38 points

The round of the day belonged to Mishka Rayner, whose excellent 41 points was enough to edge out Stuart Walters on a countback.

WLG - THURSDAY PROCOMP – STEEDEN TAMES THE WIND

It certainly wasn’t an easy day for scoring at Worrigee Links today, with strong winds providing an extra challenge for our Thursday ProComp players.

That didn’t seem to bother Allan Steeden, who produced an excellent 41 Stableford points off a daily handicap of 14 to take the honours.

With the wind making club selection and course management particularly important, 41 points was a terrific effort in the conditions.

Some fresh new stock has just arrived in the Worrigee Links Golf Shop, with new styles for both our Men’s and Ladies ranges.

For the Men, we have a selection of new polos featuring the Worrigee Links logo, including some great colours and patterns ready for the warmer months.

Our Ladies range has also received a fresh update, with a selection of new colour-coordinated polos and sleeveless tops, giving you plenty of options to mix and match both on and off the course.

And importantly, as we continue developing our Golf Shop range, we aim to remain price competitive and provide our members and guests with great value, with these new arrivals priced below the recommended retail price (RRP).
