It has been a while since we have posted. Rest assured we are planning to start karate again soon. We will post here when we know the date of our first session. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Well done to all members of the Coober Pedy Karate Club for 2022. It was a big year with twice weekly training sessions followed by grading in Coober Pedy, for most members, and grading in Port Augusta for our more experienced members.

All the hard work and practice was worth it with improved skills and higher grades the result. Thank you to Mark for his volunteer time teaching and to the committee members who have contributed this year. Thank you to Damien for his continual support of the club. Thanks also to Coober Pedy Golf Club for the use of the facility and to Port Augusta Judo Club for use of their facility for training and grading last weekend.

We wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas and New Year.

Karate is on again from tonight every Monday and Thursday at 5:30pm at the Coober Pedy Opal Fields Golf Club.

If you have any cold and flu like symptoms please stay home. If you are a COVID close contact please do NOT attend.

Karate is cancelled tonight. Karate will be on again on Thursday.

There will be no Karate tonight Monday 23rd May 2022. We will be back to our regular sessions on Thursday 26th May 2022.

There will be no karate tonight due to Golf Club bookings and to give students a chance to attend the Breakaways marathon running clinic at the oval tonight from 3:30pm.

Karate will be on every Monday and Thursday at 5:30pm at the Coober Pedy Golf Club starting this week. All welcome!

Membership packs are available at the sessions. The first two sessions are free after which there is a $5 per person or $10 per family session fee. Membership fees are also payable following the first 2 sessions ($50 individual and $80 family), sports vouchers can be utilised for students from 5 years to 15 years.

We thank our volunteer sensei and the committee for their ongoing support.

A ZOOM link will be sent to members closer to the dqy just in case there is anyone who is in COVID isolation or quarantine who would like to attend

Come along and vote in the committee for this year.

Karate start date will be discussed at the AGM.
