🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️ **MPS SHORT COURSE DEVELOPMENT CARNIVAL – ENTRIES OPEN!** 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

It’s time to get racing! 🔥

Mountains & Plains Swimming is excited to welcome swimmers to the **2026 MPS Area Short Course Development Carnival** at Blayney.

📅 **Sunday 27 September 2026**
📍 **CentrePoint Sport and Leisure Centre, Blayney**
🏊 25m Short Course Pool
⏰ Warm-up: **9:30am**
🏁 Racing starts: **10:30am**

This carnival is a fantastic opportunity for developing swimmers to gain racing experience, chase some new PBs and represent their club in a friendly regional competition.

There really is something for everyone, with:

🔹 **25m beginner events**
🔹 50m and 100m events across all strokes
🔹 200m events
🔹 400m Freestyle and Individual Medley
🔹 Individual Medley events
🔹 **Multi-Class events**
🏅 Medals across eligible age groups and events

💰 **Entries are $7 per event**
🏊 Maximum of **5 events per swimmer**
📲 Entries are through **Swim Central**

🚨 **ENTRIES CLOSE MIDNIGHT FRIDAY 18 SEPTEMBER**

**Important:** Entries may close earlier if the meet reaches its entry limit, so we strongly recommend getting your entries in early.

For 50m and 100m events, **break times apply rather than qualifying times**, while swimmers aged 9+ can enter the 200m events without qualifying times. Specific qualifying requirements apply to the 400m events.

Whether you're relatively new to competition or looking for another opportunity to race and improve, we'd love to see you in Blayney!

🏊‍♂️ SWIMMING NSW DEVELOPMENT CLINICS ARE COMING! 🏊‍♀️
Swimming NSW Development Clinics are a fantastic opportunity for swimmers to refine their technique, build confidence, and continue progressing in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
These clinics are open to eligible swimmers aged 9–11 years and 12–18 years, with registrations completed through Swim Central. Places are limited, so families are encouraged to read the clinic details carefully and register early.
📍 MPS Clinic Dates
🗓️ Saturday 14 November – Bathurst
🗓️ Sunday 15 November – Forbes TBC
🔓 Registrations open 6 October
This is a great chance for swimmers across our area to learn, connect, and continue developing their skills with support from Swimming NSW coaches and pathway staff.

The MPS Winter Championships are for EVERY swimmer — whether you race all year round or only usually swim at Summer Champs 🌟

This is a great opportunity to:
