Happy Mothers Day to all the beautiful Mumas out there xx

The girls and I participated in the Mothers Day Classic fun run at Lake Canobolas, Orange . Such a great way to start the day. Stella and I completed a single lap of this beautiful track...Rahni stuck around with us for the first lap, then she turned the boosters on and cruised around for a second lap at full pace ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Every Sunday Stella (my youngest) and I synchronise our diaries. I'm a bit old school in that regards, I love to flip through the pages and see what I've got on all laid out in black and white, plus the process of writing it all down helps me remember what's on and be accountable to myself.

I sit down to start with and write down all my work commitments, any appointments, events, functions etc I have coming up, when I'm going to train, Stella's commitments, and my daily targets that I want to hit each day to achieve my personal goals.

Then we sit down together and work through her week, what extra curricular activities she has, how she's getting home from school each day and any other special events she has on for the week ahead.

Such a simple process but it makes for a more organised and structured week for the both of us.

Anything that goes in the diary is treated like an appointment, not to be missed.

Planning is such an integral part of achieving anything, even those simple building blocks of health and fitness I mention in my last post.

Did you read that and say "ok I'm going to make sure I get more sleep"... only for it to go out the door the first night because you forgot you had an early appointment?

If you had checked your diary/ schedule/ planner whatever you work with, you would have seen that appointment coming up and you could of planned to be in bed earlier because that's your commitment to yourself at the moment that you are focusing on.

Plan to make it happen, don't just continue to sail on and see.

There are so many things we can do to improve our health and fitness even before we step into a gym, but still most are looking for the latest fad or pill to get us to where we want to be.

Start with the basics, start small, build a good foundation and go from there.

Here are some simple things we could be doing every single day to improve our health and fitness. Choose one and nail it for 2 weeks and then add in another.

๐Ÿ’ง Drink enough water - 2-3L Daily
๐Ÿ˜ด Get enough sleep - 7-9hrs every night
๐Ÿƒ Move - 10,000 steps daily
๐Ÿฅฉ Eat Well - swap processed foods for fresh and make protein a priority

Whats the best exercise for you?

The one you like and enjoy doing, the one that makes you want to come back and do it again.

Do what not only feeds your body ๐Ÿ’ช but your mind ๐Ÿง .

There are so many different modes of exercise out there including lacing up your joggers and going for a walk. You're sure to find something that you enjoy, you've just got to put yourself out there the first time โค๏ธ.

Every Monday I add 2 new tracks to our Pump routine. That means there's always a great blend of; tracks we are learning and tracks we are mastering over a 5 week block.

This week we have new Shoulders ๐Ÿ’ฅ and Stretch ๐Ÿ™ tracks.

Workout lockdowns courtesy of Logan Thorpe Fitness.
This lockdown I have an awesome group of LTF clients to coach through this lockdown period.
So far they are smashing it - our goal each day is to do the daily workout for our group, hit 10,000 steps, complete a daily challenge eg today's was to reach out and make contact to a friend xx and to post something to socials showing how we are making the most of this time.
Note we may not hit these goals 100% of the time but it's so much easier to start fresh the next day when you have a crew of supportive people cheering you on ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

Calling for expression of interest in next terms (term 3) Young Athlete Program.
Ages 8 and up.
This program is specially designed to help athletes progress in our 7 chosen areas over the 10 week block with their chosen sport in mind.
2 sessions per week.
$30 per week.

A workout is always so much better when it's with a great group of people. Today I got to workout with my son Ollie ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’™ at Logan Thorpe Fitness - Condobolin , he smashed it. So proud xx
