We are excited to announce we are holding our SCHOOL HOLIDAY SKILLS & DEVELOPMENT CAMPS in the upcoming September and October holidays.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY SKILLS AND DEVELOPMENT CAMPS will be held Tuesday 29 September, Wednesday 30 September, Wednesday 7 October and Thursday 8 October 2026 at Bankstown. These camps are designed for children aged 5-17 years old to participate in activities including basketball and other fun activities. It’s all about engagement, making new friends, having fun and learning some new skills. There are prizes on offer at the end of the camp for skill tests and games. Camps run 9am to 3pm. Please ensure your child wears comfortable.

Please ensure that your child is picked up at 3pm, as late pickups may incur additional fees.

You are able to use your Active Kids Voucher for any of these programs.

We are excited to announce our REP TRIAL READY CLINIC in the upcoming September/October school holidays. Great way to keep working on your game and your individual skills, all whilst in a safe, welcoming environment.

REP TRIAL READY CLINIC will be held Tuesday 29 September 2026 from 9am to 1pm. This camp is to work on skill levels, drills and fundamentals that will be required when trialling for Reps in October 2026.

Please ensure your child brings a clearly labelled basketball, drink bottle and recess.

Please ensure that your child is picked up at 1pm, as late pickups may incur additional fees.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲- Trials will be run without Parents this year. Parents will not be able to access the venue to watch trials.

𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
* Cuts will be made weekly and players will be notified via email.
*Current 2026 Bruins BOY Rep Players to commence trials in Week 3.
*A Non-Refundable Fee of $30 is to be paid at the time of completing your on-line registration.
* If you are unable to make any of the scheduled trial dates please complete the exemption form on our website and email [email protected]
* Players to arrive 30 minutes before start time on first trial night.
* Representative Players from other associations must complete the on-line Junior Player Intent to Trial Form PRIOR to trials - https://www.bnsw.com.au/intent-to-trial/

Players will be unable to participate in trials unless all required paperwork is complete.

The SCHOOL HOLIDAY SKILLS AND DEVELOPMENT CAMP will be held Friday 9 October 2026. This camp is designed for children aged 7-18 years old to participate in activities including basketball and other fun activities. It’s all about engagement, making new friends, having fun and learning some new skills. Camp runs from 9am to 1pm. Please ensure your child wears comfortable shoes, brings a clearly labelled basketball (if they have one), drink bottle and recess. Your child must be picked up no later than 1pm, additional costs will occur if later.

The address for the session is Whitlam Leisure Centre, 90A Memorial Avenue, Liverpool.

We are offering an EARLY BIRD SPECIAL for anyone who registers by midnight Monday 7 September. We are also offering a discount if you have more than one family member attending our camp, we are offering a discount for the second member and third member attending.

Basketball NSW is excited to explore a new representative opportunity designed to celebrate athletes competing in our mainstream representative pathway who are living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD.

As some of you may know, the current Ivor Burge pathway aligns with Sport Inclusion Australia's II1 eligibility classification (Intellectual Impairment). While many athletes with ASD compete successfully in mainstream basketball, there is currently no equivalent basketball pathway for athletes who fall within the II3 (Autism) classification.

To help recognise these athletes and celebrate their achievements, Basketball NSW is proposing the inaugural 2026 BNSW City vs Country ASD Showcase.

The exhibition game is planned to be held during the Basketball NSW AAH State Championships in early December and will feature athletes aged 18–23 years representing either City or Country NSW.

This event is designed to: Celebrate athletes with ASD competing within mainstream representative basketball.
Increase awareness and understanding of hidden disabilities within our basketball community.
Provide positive role models for younger athletes.
Recognise the important role local associations play in creating inclusive environments.

At this stage, we are simply seeking Expressions of Interest to gauge participation and better understand the level of interest across NSW.

We encourage associations to share this opportunity with eligible athletes, families and coaches who may know someone interested in participating.

Athletes who express interest should:

· Be aged between 18 and 23 years.
· Currently participate (or have recently participated) in representative basketball.
· Be comfortable participating in an event that celebrates Autism Spectrum Disorder and raises awareness of hidden disabilities within basketball.
· Be willing to represent either City or Country NSW based on their association.

Participation is entirely voluntary, and athletes will have control over how much of their personal story they choose to share.

If this initiative receives sufficient interest, Basketball NSW hopes to establish the Showcase as an annual celebration of inclusion within our Assist All Hoops State Championships.
