You might be thinking that with not many events on over winter Mac Park goes into some sort of hibernation…but alas that is not how running a racetrack works.
With a significant number of trees around the track comes the need for a significant amount of pruning...and this is where Western Tree and Stump Removal a.k.a. Garth Williams comes into play, offering not only their machinery for a few months but also invaluable advice on what to chop and what to leave.
To have members provide such support not only saves the club (a lot of) money but helps make the club what it is.
But of course, such machinery is only as good as the people operating it, so a massive thanks to Shorty (always there when noisy machinery is) and Dave Duffy for coordinating the whole process, along with everyone else who has come out and shoved stuff in the shredder (or simply stood around with hands in pockets offering advice).
See you all on the 18th of July for our next Ride day!
