Challenger Division / South Perth Baseball Club

Good morning Cubbies,

Over the last couple of months the club has been searching for a co-ordinator for our Challenger program.

Unfortunately we have not been able find someone to take this role and as a result Challenger will not be running during the 2019/20 season.

The club wishes to thank all the players, parents, buddies and volunteers that have been involved in the Challenger program over the last few years. It has been a great program that has been rewarding for all involved. The club will continue to look for a coordinator and we hope to bring back Challenger in the near future.

Hi All

I trust that those that attended last weekend enjoyed themselves.

This weekend is our final outing for 2018/19 season and I hope all have enjoyed the year.

On Sunday we will be playing form the diamond nearest the batting cages due to a game being played on the diamond we would normally use.

Following the game there will be bacon and egg rolls for all as well as medal presentation to all players.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday at as close to 8.30 am as possible.

A special thanks to Bianca and the team as well as Northern Metros and Wanneroo baseball club.

CHALLENGER LEAGUE EXHIBITION GAME ⚾️⚾️

Head over to Mateljian Park this Sunday at 11.30am to catch the Challenger Division / South Perth Baseball Club take on the Challenger Division Perth Northern Metros before Wanneroo Giants Baseball Club Inc.'s SL 1 double-header against South Perth Baseball Club!

Good morning All

Confirming our discussion on Sunday morning in relation to this weekend’s game at Wanneroo.

Would you please be kind enough to confirm your availability for this by Wednesday (13th) morning as this will enable us to ensure enough buddies are available.

At Wanneroo Sunday February 17th (Umpire appreciation metals presented).
The plan is to move the SL2 game forward 15 minutes for a 9am start with a finish of 11.30. We will then play for 30-45 minutes depending on weather, what time SL2 finish etc. Game 1 of the SL1 will then be pushed back 15 minutes for a 12.45pm start.
We will then go into our clubrooms for some lunch and the umpires presentation to all the kids.

Below is the schedule for the balance of the season>

Games recommence Sunday February 3rd.

Next game Sunday February 10th

Sunday February 17th game against Northern Metros at Wanneroo. Game to commence around 11.30 am (so need to be there for 11.00-11.15 am). Following the game is a lunch and medal presentation from the umpires association.

Sunday February 24th final game of the season back at South Perth. Windup day and club medal presentation.

Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday February 3rd.

For those interested in the Cubbie Christmas this week. Here is some information.

Santa is coming on Saturday 22 December after the SL1 game!

For those avid Heat supporters, we will be streaming Game 2 and 3 of their series with Sydney, or until we hit our data limit. With the forecast expecting a warm day, there will be a slip n' slide for the kids.

PRESENTS
Parents wishing to provide presents for their children are asked to place them under the tree in the Clubhouse prior to 5pm. We ask that gifts don’t exceed $20 in value.

SCHEDULE/FIXTURES
9:30am – SL3 (Grayden)
11:00am – SL2 (Collins)
2:00pm – SL1 (Collins)
5:00pm – Santa arrives (after SL1 game)
