Well what can we say..... 🤔
With the dust finally settled and the pack up completed at Comet, we are all slowly getting back to reality after an absolutely massive week that completely blew us out of the water with the support that came from all of you from the wonderful week we experienced at Comet.
Firstly we must say a HUGE THANK YOU to our generous and valued sponsors, cattle donors and livestock carriers, without whom the event would not run.
Your support and trust in us to showcase your businesses and cattle at our event is greatly appreciated and we are extremely grateful to have worked with you all and are very much looking forward to doing it all over again next year.👏☺️
To all of the competitors, owners, and supporters who came and went throughout the week and tuned in at home, the show simply cannot prosper without your support and we are truly humbled with all of the phone calls, messages and comments we have received from you all to let us know what an enjoyable show you all had and that you cannot wait for the next one!🤩
To the Comet community who always rallies together to support local events by spending countless hours working at the grounds before and after, it truly is a remarkable and wonderful community to be apart of. 🥰
So with a show of this size there are of course numerous people to thank that helped to get the show up and running including
⭐️Larry Ponton, who had the grounds looking amazing leading up to the event and who was also our water truck driver throughout the week.
⭐️The P&C members and helpers for all of your delicious meals and friendly service as you simply cannot have an event at the Comet Showgrounds without your input.
⭐️Steve & Danni at The Comet Pub, who if you ever need anything are only just a phone call away.
⭐️To Jenny Lucas for accommodating and taking care of our videographers.
⭐️To the many drovers who helped to muster, walk cattle in & tail out during the week your hours in the saddle don't go unnoticed.
⭐️To everyone who jumped in to help load & unload cattle, man the practice pens, set up the arena for presentations, empty a full rubbish bin and to help us with the final pack up on the grounds, you are all very much appreciated and we simply cannot do this without you all.👏
Nadean McKenna the iCompete queen🙌, a massive thank you for all of the late night phone calls and your endless help throughout the week to iron out all of our technical issues.
A massive thank you to the fantastic team behind the amazing coverage of our event, Purple Fairy Imagery - Cherie Reeves, Neiljones.online and Amy Gallon for all of the long hours you put in behind the lens.
In closing, on behalf of The Comet Show Society & The Comet River Cutting committee's, we wish to extend a sincere heartfelt thank you to you all for supporting us in helping to achieve great success with the running of the first Comet River Cutting Futurity and we all look forward to seeing you next year!🥳👏😍
