Colonel Light West Tennis Club Colonel Light West Tennis Club was established in March 1927. We have won nearly 150 premierships and competed in hundreds of finals over the years.

Our facilities are recognised among the best in the state, boasting 8 high quality hard-courts, a cosy refurbished clubroom with restricted liquor licence, kitchen facilities & barbecue. Our courts are available for casual hire when not in use by members & our clubrooms are also available for hire, providing an ideal venue for birthday parties, work parties & family fun days. The club is situated

in a lovely park equipped with a playground. For those just wanting a casual hit with friends, social membership is available. For a nominal fee you are provided with a key to access the courts any time they are not in use by full-time playing members. We also offer a mid-week ladies competition, running on Wednesday each week. For beginners or those wanting to hone their tennis skills we have an excellent resident coach available.

Junior Presentations will commence once all the teams playing away and the Orange Ball team arrive at the club. Aiming for a 1pm start, followed by a (free BBQ). The bar will be open so we can celebrate a fantastic, weather interrupted winter season.

A Fantastic Week of Junior Tennis at Colonel Light West

Colonel Light West Tennis Club was delighted to host the 2026 J125 CBC Green Junior event in the July School holidays, bringing junior tournament tennis back after many years.

With 115 entries across 16 events, players from 10 & Under to 16 & Under it was great to see the courts full of action and a great reminder of the strength of our junior tennis community.

The event was run by Ann Langman (Tournament Director) and Kent Thiele (Referee), supported by supervisors Bruce Tucker and Graham Stone, with Tennis SA trainees assisting throughout.

Special thanks to our Club Patron and Life Member, Ian Delbridge, who was instrumental in bringing this event to CLW.

We also thank all the volunteers who assisted in the canteen over the 3 days.

A great event for the club, and we hope it’s the first of many more junior tournaments at Colonel Light West.
