Collie River Trail parkrun
Event #348
5th September 2026
BOM said the rain was likely to start at 8am. Thankfully, parkrun obviously has some sway over the weather and the rain held off until we were all safely finished and packing up the equipment. To be honest, it could have held off another 5 minutes so the trolley and paraphernalia could have been stowed safely in the car, but we will take it. Two of our amazing volunteers were wearing parkrun shirts that said parkrun, parkwalk, parkfun, parktalk and 37 people braved the threat of rain to do just that. Warmest of welcomes to Lauren and Dylan who travelled up from Bunbury for the morning. Welcome also to return travelers Craig, Rich, Peter and Leonie. We hope you all enjoyed your run and that we will see you again soon.
Congratulations to our speedsters Mathew, Rich, Mick, Dahlia, Julie, and Alison; amazing efforts by you all! Congratulations also to Jennifer who completed her 50th parkrun today and, in doing so, joined the red shirt ranks.
The event was made possible by 10 volunteers. Our thanks go to Caity • Tamsin • Sue • Jayne • Leone • Allison • Murray • Kaye • Matthew and Jenny. If you would like to be a high-vis hero next week, or any time in the future, please either reach out with a message or chat to one of the volunteers at parkrun. The roster is always in the red folder on the table.
