Wow. The first 24 hour endurance race (at Wanneroo Raceway) was held this weekend. So much fun, so many familiar faces stopped by. Thanks for all the support. We placed 5th with 919 laps 🙂

An eventful weekend. But overall it was a great team effort. A bad day at the track is better than a good day at work.
We lost a wheel during practice, but managed to qualify in 7th. Race was looking great with us only 11ish laps down after 6 hours on track but then we started battling failing engine mounts with nothing available at local stores. Day 2 was pretty much a write-off as a result.

The Motul CRV didn’t fair so well, unfortunately an unknown pre-existing engine issue caused the rods say hello. An overnight rebuild of the engine using an old short motor & another 2 heads got it running and out on track. But there were more dramas so we subbed the car out.

Endurance racing is super tough on engines and Nothing but the best keeps ours alive while we beat on the poor little Honda

Wow. What can we say? Started with a failed gearbox at 1230pm Friday with race start scheduled for 3pm … a few quick calls and Higin was our savior, he brought down a replacement at short notice. We got on track 3 hours after race start in last place and 110 laps down. The team raced hard and Mark clawed back a 50 second deficit (in 15 mins) to snare a Top10 position. Insane

Cars are pain 💔❤️‍🩹
Last night Tom put in a great top10 shootout lap. We started the day from 5th on the grid. We pushed hard all day, but with 3 hours to go we lost an injector with the car only 6 laps off the corrected lead. Our first DNF. That hurts. So proud of Deputy Mayor Tom, Mark & Matt of the effort they put in.
We shall regroup for the October 24Hr event with positivity.

Off to Autodromo Nazionale Collie for BEERS 12hr - qualifying today, race starts 6am 2moro. Thanks to Trident Motorsport for the race alignment.
Thanks to MOTUL Australia for the oils to keep our car running all event without issue.
