We offer social, competition and coaching services and are proud to be the Community Club of the Year 2025, Most Outstanding Tennis Club 2025, 2022 & 2021. Since play commenced on two sand courts at Collaroy Tennis Club in 1922, the Club has expanded to six courts including one ‘true blue’ cushion acrylic hard court (the same used at the Australian Open), which provides the optimum surface for tra

ining elite junior players and providing access for wheelchair tennis. Chris O’Connell and Jordan Thompson as well as assistant Davis Cup coach, Jaymon Crabb, use this court for practice when in Sydney. Collaroy has become the first fully sustainable tennis club on the northern beaches, having installed a complete solar energy system comprising 33 solar panels on the clubhouse roof, batteries to store excess energy and solar heating, as well as installing LED Lighting on all courts. Other major recent achievements include winning the '2025 Community Club of the Year' award from Sport NSW Community Sports, '2022 Most Outstanding Club - Australia' award from Tennis Australia, ‘2025, 2022 and 2021 Most Outstanding Club or Venue – Metropolitan’ award from Tennis NSW and selection by the state’s governing body as one of only four tennis clubs in NSW to be part of a new Gender Equity pilot program being championed by former Australian number one, Casey Dellacqua. The Club also offers free coaching for children with autism through its partner Evolve Tennis Academy and conducts Cardio Tennis sessions for Ladies Groups and schoolchildren. The Club has hit other milestones in its Centenary year, reaching a total membership of 200 for the first time and now having some 2,000 players using the courts every week. This represents a growth in participation at the Club of more than 80% in the last two years. Beyond the statistics, Collaroy Tennis Club is simply a great place to enjoy healthy exercise, make friends and have fun. We have a dedicated committee, highly skilled across a diverse range of expertise including financial services, social tennis is thriving and the Club also fields teams in both Tennis Northern Beaches Night Comps. It really is an exciting time to be a member of Collaroy Tennis Club.

Collaroy's Juniors were on fire during the recent April school holidays. Guided by our Coaching Partner, Evolve Tennis Academy, our young players performed superbly in major T.A. endorsed tournaments throughout NSW and beyond. The Juniors excelled at events in Canberra, the Shoalhaven, Bathurst, Newcastle, Sydney Olympic Park, Castle Hill and even inter-state in Tasmania. With ANZAC Day just gone, you may like to take a look at how Collaroy Tennis Club paid respect to Veterans and their families this year. In the lead up to the big day, we held our first 'Return Serve' event, which attracted over 100 people including Mayor Sue Heins, Cr. Bob Giltinan and Tennis NSW Inclusion & Community Manager, Naskaya Rajah.

The day started with the solemn notes of The Last Post and a reading of the ‘Thank You to Veteran’ ode, delivered by Craig Horner of the Northern Beaches Veteran Wellbeing Centre. Michael Regan, Independent Member for Wakehurst then spoke meaningfully about the importance of such events in helping veterans to reconnect with community. Then we celebrated as we do, with tennis, a heap of other activities, Live Music, great food and refreshments, and a whole heap of prize giveaways. Our thanks to the NSW Dept. of Veteran Affairs and Dee Why RSL Sub-Branch for making the event possible. Return Serve is THIS Sunday, April 12, at Collaroy Tennis Club. Gates open at 12 noon - Opening Ceremony at 12:30pm sharp. So much happening on the day but a highlight will be the Live performance by Modern Vintage Music. Sebastian is a superb guitarist and Julianne is without doubt, one of the best vocalists in Australia. Ricky Martin selected her for his team on The Voice and many good judges believed she should have won it all. Don't miss this opportunity. To assist with catering, please register, whether to play tennis or just attend. Head to: https://www.collaroytennisclub.com.au/return-serve and register TODAY!
