Join Us for the Reopening of Yarra Valley Equestrian Park clubhouse!

We are thrilled to announce the completion of renovations at Yarra Valley Equestrian Park's clubhouse, marking a significant milestone for our beloved community space. The renovation was made possible by a grant from the Federal Government Regional Development Fund and private donations.

Come and mingle with local guests including local federal and state members, the mayor, and equestrians who love the venue. Enjoy an evening of drinks and light refreshments as we commemorate this special occasion.

We will be screening the 100 years of history of the club, a captivating production by Simon Wincer, providing a nostalgic glimpse into our rich equestrian heritage.

This event is open to all members of the equestrian community and is free of charge. Feel free to invite friends and family who share our passion for equestrian sports and community engagement.

Strictly limited to 100 people, please register your attendance on TRY BOOKING!

YVEP Team and Business Model

YVEP is a self-funded, not-for-profit association and will re-invest all surpluses back into the facility. YVEP secured funding contributions of more than $1.25 million from its Equestrian community network.

The project has not received any direct public/government funding contributions to date.

The initial members are Geoff Sinclair, Russ Withers, Clint Rose, Arthur Yencken , Ngaire Herbert and solicitor Jonathan Ambler.

The Board will:
· Transition to a representative and skills based board made up of six members of the local equestrian clubs and disciplines, with up to two independent directors (one of which would be Chair).
· Appoint a Manager who will be responsible for the day to day operations of YVEP.
· Provide leadership, approve the business plan and oversee the management of YVEP.

Strategic Importance

YVEP will be a best practice regional Equestrian Sport
Facility. It will be strategically complementary addition to
Victoria’s facilities and service the extensive participation network within Metropolitan, and Northern and Eastern regional communities.
The property (28 Melba Hwy, Yering ) is currently underutilised, yet has a rich equestrian heritage, originally acquired by the Yarra Glen and Lilydale Hunt Club in 1937.
It is estimated that nearly half of Equestrian Victoria’s membership reside within 50 km of the site.
