After two years of planning, fundraising and hard work, our new facility at Cohuna Recreation Reserve's 2nd Oval is ready to become a reality.

We have enough funding to get construction underway, but we still need additional support to complete the project and deliver everything that's planned, including the heating/cooling, cooking facilities and running water.

The Nondies Cohuna Cricket Club has already committed significant funds towards this project through fundraising, community sponsorship and club investment. We're not asking the community to fund the project - we are asking for help to complete it.

Every dollar donated will go directly towards delivering the best possible facility for our community.

With ALL donations 100% tax deductible through the Australian Sports Foundation, now is a great time to get behind the project if you're able.

For tonight's raffle all proceeds will be going to Sues Wildlife Animal Shelter. This is a great cause and initiative in our community. These funds will assist in caring for our injured local wildlife.

If you see Bruce Milthorpe or Ron Stanton coming around, please grab yourself a ticket. Tickets on sale from 5:30pm and drawn around 7pm.

Another new player to introduce for season 2026/27 is Jesse Vertongen. Jesse is from Taranaki in New Zealand where is known as an aggressive top order batsman and keeper. His playing history includes representing Taranaki in the strong Hawke Cup competition. He has also played cricket in the UK, where he played Premier League cricket in Somerset. We think Jesse will form a valuable partnership at the top alongfside ellow Kiwi Jamal who has resigned after relocating to Australia. He is keen to get involved with our junior setup and pass on his knowledge. Welcome to the club Jesse.

Pleased to announce Louis Johnson as our newest player for season 2026/27. Louis joins us from Manchester in the United Kingdom. A left arm opening bowler, Louis will bring control and variety to our attack. At 21 he has played multiple seasons of Premier League cricket and also has represented Lancashire 2nd XI. He is also handy with the bat and has a ton to his name. As we usher in a new era, Louis will be a key part of that. He will arrive to Cohuna upon the completion of his UK season. Welcome.

We are proud to announce the naming of the Owen Swallow Scoreboard. We believe what he provided our club deserves recognition and naming the scoreboard after him seemed fitting. Every home game it was his number one mission to ensure the score was correct and updated regularly. He was proud of this role and he took absolute pride in doing it. He was missed massively last season by everyone.

As we work hard towards an electronic scoreboard in future years, the Owen Swallow Scoreboard name will continue on.
