A few snapshots from a really beautiful morning ā¤ļø

Sunshine through the bush, plenty of laughter and such a wonderful group of women to share the walk with.

These community get-togethers are about so much more than getting our steps in. They’re about connecting outside of the gym, getting to know one another and creating friendships beyond our individual coaching sessions.

Thank you to everyone who joined me this morning. My heart is very full, and I’m already looking forward to our next little adventure together. Jen x

Something is better than nothing…

I really couldn’t be fu**ed training today.

It’s been a busy week so far. I wasn’t feeling 100%; my energy was low, and after lunch I sat on the couch and stuffed half a packet shortbread into my face šŸ˜‚ Honestly, I could’ve quite happily stayed there.

I normally drive across town to train and today I just couldn’t be bothered. So instead, I looked at what I had at home and told myself I’d just do three things from my programme.

And that’s exactly what I did.

Did I enjoy it? Not really šŸ˜‚ Did I suddenly feel amazing once I started? Nope. But I’m always telling my clients that something is better than nothing, so today I had to take my own advice.

You don’t have to smash every workout. You don’t have to do everything that’s written on your programme. You don’t even have to enjoy it! Sometimes you just need to show up and do what you can with what you’ve got.

Three things, two things, even one thing.

Because one thing is still better than nothing.

Just a Thursday afternoon reminder from a coach, who for today really couldn’t be fu**ed either. šŸ˜‚

šŸ’™ One last ask.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been taking part in the Push-Up Challenge alongside an incredible community of people, all raising money to support mental health.

Together, our Club Lime Moonee Beach Community has already raised over $1,500 for headspace Coffs Harbour, and I’d love to see us reach $2,000 today.
If you’ve been following along, liking the posts, cheering us on, or you’ve been meaning to donate but haven’t quite got around to it, this is your reminder.

Mental health touches every single one of us. Whether it’s you, someone you love, a friend, a colleague or a family member, most of us know just how important it is that support is available when it’s needed.

That’s why I’m asking—just one last time. If you can spare $5, $10 or whatever feels right, I’d be so grateful. Every dollar helps ensure young people in our local community can access support through headspace Coffs Harbour.

Let’s see if we can push our community over the $2,000 mark today. šŸ’Ŗ

Thank you to everyone who’s already donated, shared the fundraiser, or completed push-ups this month. You’ve made a real difference. ā¤ļø

What a beautiful way to spend a Saturday morning. 🌿

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Yoga & Meditation Workshop this morning. It was so lovely to see so many familiar faces come together, slow down for a couple of hours, and make some time for themselves. Between the movement, breathwork, relaxation and connection, it really was a special morning.

A big thank you as well to the wonderful Tiina for sharing her knowledge and creating such a calm and welcoming space. šŸ’š

I’m incredibly grateful to have such a supportive community. Thanks for spending your morning with us. ✨

Something I noticed this morning at the gym.

The people who keep showing up week after week and actually get results? Every single one of them has a plan.

Not a perfect plan. Not a complicated one. But they know what they’re doing when they walk through that door.

The ones who are winging it? You can spot them. Drifting between machines, doing a bit of this, a bit of that. Nothing wrong with being there, but there’s a big difference between showing up and training with purpose.

If you want to stop feeling like you’re wasting your time, a plan is where it starts.

You know where to find me if you need a hand šŸ™Œ Jen x Jen McCulloch | Personal Trainer & Online Coach

That kid in these photos wasn’t sporty, wasn’t confident, and definitely wasn’t getting picked first.

And that’s exactly why I coach the way I do.

Because I remember what it felt like walking into something and thinking everyone else just knew what they were doing and I was just… not that person.

So when I tell you to keep it simple, to just show up, to stop waiting until you feel ready, I mean it. Not because it sounds nice, but because it’s what actually works.

And just remember, I’m not special. I’m just someone who’s done this more times than you have.

Coaching isn’t about making you the best in the room. It’s about helping you become someone who keeps turning up.

Confidence comes after, not before. And sometimes it starts with being the one who came last and deciding to go again anyway.

With love, Jen x

If your shoulder press feels a bit off… it’s probably not a strength thing.

It’s usually your setup.

I see this all the time. People keep pushing through it, hoping it’ll sort itself out… and then wonder why their shoulder is always a bit niggly.

Make a couple of small changes here and it feels completely different.ļæ½
Better position with more control.

Give this a go next time you press and tell me how it feels.
