Indoor Nationals rehearsal 🙌🏼🐸🏹

Today we ventured to Coastal Archery for a Double Australian Indoor round, in preparation for next weekends National Indoor. Not having shot this type of round, Liv just wanted to make sure she had a go. Well, have a go she did! 290/300 for the first half and 279/300 for the second…combining for a 569/600 for her first attempt! This amazing effort earned her a silver medal 🥈 in overall compound, coming second by 8-points to an Open Male archer.

We can’t believe how well she has transitioned to her new bow, giving it everything she has. Now for a focussed, calm and relaxed week to give her the best chance of doing just as well next weekend.

With Indoor Nationals just around the corner, and a State team selection…all on top of a bow change a month ago…Liv’s been getting as much shooting in as she can fit around school, PT, boxing and just life’s crazy moments. Totally Acceptable Beginning

Today Liv shot what’s known as a Newcastle Round…not because we were in Newcastle, the round is shooting 90 arrows at a 20m distance on a 122cm face. For Liv’s first shoot outdoors, she did really well…886/900! Most importantly, she had a huge smile on her face all morning; something we haven’t seen for a VERY long time! The enjoyment is back, along with the determination and drive.
