Diets don’t work, and food is not the enemy. Intuitive Eating is a way of life designed to help you tune into what food your body needs and wants, and to have it without guilt or shame. Overeating or binge eating may often be triggered by your emotions, rather than physical hunger. Intuitive Eating helps you understand the difference between physical and emotional cues of hunger and supports you to nourish yourself in healthy and satisfying ways. Learning your body’s unique signals and to give it what it needs physically and emotionally is at the heart of the Intuitive Eating approach. As an Intuitive Eating Coach, I support you to develop body wisdom and confidence through mindfulness and self-compassion. You will learn about your own negative beliefs and self-sabotage. I support you to develop the skills, knowledge and awareness to love yourself and your body everyday, not just on your good days. Intuitive Eating means stepping off the dieting merry-go-round and learning to trust and love yourself and food again. Tonight I had the privilege of playing my crystal singing bowls for our su***de bereavement support group đź’™

In the midst of grief, it can be hard to find moments of stillness. Grief lives not just in the mind, but in the nervous system, and practices like sound healing can gently support moments of calm, grounding, and regulation.

The bowls aren’t a cure for the pain of loss, but they can help us reconnect with the breath, soften tension, and find small pockets of rest in the midst of what can feel overwhelming. I’m grateful to hold a space where people can simply be — supported, soothed, and not alone.

This kind of practice isn’t about “fixing” anything. It’s about allowing space for rest, for breath, and for the body to settle in its own time 🤍🩵🤍

Instead of entering the new year focused on changing your body, consider shifting the goal toward building a healthier relationship with food and with yourself. Research consistently shows that long-term well-being is supported not by restrictive dieting or body control, but by sustainable behaviours such as attuned eating, self-compassion, and body respect. When the focus moves away from shrinking the body and toward nourishing it—physically and psychologically—people are more likely to experience improved mental health, stable health markers, and a more peaceful relationship with food. You deserve more than a life organised around becoming smaller; you deserve one centred on care, agency, and wholeness.
