PSA Boardriders PSA Boardriders is a surfing club which has been going strong since 1986 Our club encourages family involvement and welcomes new members from all walks of life.

The PSA Boardriders is a club formed in 1986 and whilst we are basically a surfing club, we are all about fun, whether it be in the surf or on the land. We generally have 3 competitions each year, which comprise of the official games annually held on the northern beaches of Sydney, and at least two other 'fun comps' held somewhere on the NSW coast! Whilst the official comp is a chance for those wh

o love the thrill and challenge of competition amongst mates to get out there and have a crack; the remaining 2-3 comps are more aimed at the entire club going away for a long weekend and having fun. These later comps generally use the 'team' format and really do provide a fun time for surfers of ALL levels, whether you are just a learner or a salt crusted sea creature. Camping is also a vital ingredient to our 2-3 'team' comp weekends. Generally everyone brings along the entire family which gives the chance for everyone to have fun and a laugh. This is basically what we aim to achieve as a club; FUN TIMES AND A GOOD LAUGH!

Frothers, the Guns Hearts n Hoses comp at One Mile Beach Anna Bay is next week and I’m out due to urgent surgery leaving Tim Naylor in the lurch and hoping for additional police surfers to join him at the event to show the hose and bandage crew how us gun slingers froth, rip and tear in the surf. If you’re keen, reach out to Tim Naylor and join him at the event for some fun in the sun and nightly escapades with the hose gang that run and put on an epic event each year with loads of good prices, raffles and giveaways on offer. Had the pleasure of meeting Rabbit last night at the Sydney Opera House after watching the great surf flick Bustin down the Door, which he featured heavily in alongside MR and his fellow band of Aussie and South African chargers. The Q&A session after the flick was also great to listen too, do yourselves a favour and watch the movie if you haven’t seen it before. Every Aussie Surfer should watch it at least once. 2026 APES GAMES ON THE QLD GOLD COAST 10-17 October, Surfing 13-15 October around Palm Beach area. NSW Police Council of Sport (PCOS) are granting each financial member and competitor with $300 to help with funding your trip, so make sure you join right now so you don’t miss out on the grant money as well as being a financial member of the PSA (Police Surfing Association) to meet the eligibility criteria. Got to be a financial member for minimum 6 months to receive the PCOS grant, which they reduced from 12 months to help this years competitors. $2 per fortnight for PCOS and same for PSA so less than 1 coffee a fortnight to secure funding, insurance cover and sponsor discounts… bargain.
