👏 A huge shout out to our local referees Matt, Peter, Kalani, Jude and Reuban, who have been officiating at the Boys NSW Combined High Schools Touch Football Championships here in Coffs Harbour this week! 🏉

These tournaments provide fantastic development opportunities, helping our referees build their skills and experience at a high level. The knowledge they gain helps lift the standard of our local competitions and supports the continued growth of our Hurricanes representative programs.

Having more quality representative referees are essential to providing pathways and opportunities for our players and teams at regional and state events.

If you’d like to watch some of the best young touch football talent in NSW, head down to the C.ex Coffs International Stadium tomorrow. Round matches will be played in the morning, with finals from lunchtime.

We are excited to announce that registration for our Primary School Holiday Clinic is now open! This is a fantastic opportunity for children to build their Touch skills, play fun games, and enjoy a full day of activity during the holidays.

📅 Date: Wednesday 15th July 2026
🕘 Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm
📍 Location: Rugby Park, 600A Hogbin Drive Toormina
👦👧 Who: All primary school aged children (Kindergarten to Year 6)

The cost for the day is just $42.50 per child, which includes:

✅ Healthy snacks & a sausage sizzle lunch

A huge congratulations to Rocco and Blake on their selection in the Polding Boys Touch Football Team for the NSWPSSA Touch Football Championships! 👏🏉

After representing the Lismore team at today’s trials, the boys have earned the opportunity to compete against the best primary school-aged touch footballers from across NSW, with NSW team selection on the line.

The NSWPSSA Championships will be held right here in Coffs Harbour from 25–27 August. This is one of the premier junior touch football events in Australia, attracting teams from across the state and boasting playing standards that rival Junior State Cup.

We’d also like to acknowledge all of our Hurricanes juniors involved in the tournament. We can’t wait to watch Blake, Rocco, Mila and Tyler showcase their talents on home soil and represent our region.

Coffs Harbour Touch is excited to announce our Holiday Clinic on Wednesday, 15 July!

This fun-filled day is open to primary school-aged children and will focus on skill development through engaging, game-based activities, helping participants build confidence and improve their touch football skills in a supportive environment.

The day will culminate in plenty of Touch Footy games, giving everyone the chance to put their new skills into action and have some fun with friends!

Congratulations to one of our Referees who has been Refereeing for us from juniors all the way up to seniors. Today he had his Debut refereeing Group 2 First Grade Rugby League 👏🏼

🚨🚨FIRST GRADE DEBUT— MALCOLM KEATING 🚨🚨

This weekend marks a significant milestone for one of our own — Malcolm Keating makes his First Grade debut at Grafton v Macksville, and it is a moment that has been well and truly earned.

Malcolm has been a familiar face on the Group 2 Referees Appointments for some time, working his way through the grades with consistency and purpose. From junior league fixtures through to U18s, he has shown week after week that he belongs at the top level — showing up, putting in the work, and continuing to grow his game.

His pathway to First Grade has been built on exactly what we value in this association: dedication, a genuine desire to improve, and commitment that has not gone unnoticed.

Today, that work gets its reward.
