Good luck to former Moreland City FC goalkeeper Charles Hoskins (17) as he heads to the UK this Friday for trials with two English Premier League clubs and one Championship club.

Charles began his journey at Moreland City as a MiniRoos player before progressing through the junior ranks. Since then, his football journey has included stints with Western United, training opportunities with Wrexham AFC, a month in Wales with the professional squad, and a full scholarship at Malaga City FC in Spain.

We’re incredibly proud of everything Charles has achieved and wish him every success as he takes this exciting next step. Go well, Charles! 💙❤️⚽️

One of our own Congratulations Ted Smith!! 👏 👏

Congratulations to Hall of Fame Member, Championship Winner and true club legend, Ted Smith, who has today been recognised as part of the King’s Birthday Honours.

A thoroughly deserved honour for one of Moreland City’s FC football’s true greats.

“Moreland have been important in my Football life ,originally when i played against them from Preston Old Boys age 16. Then joined them at 18yo ,played for Seniors until 1961 ,Playing at South Melbourne then Hakoah BUT returned to Moreland as Player then Coach , Committee and President . We appointed Ron Smith in first Coaching Role -which Led to His setting up thr AIS program producing the Golden Period of Soocceroos . Thus a short summary of the importance of the oldest Club has been in my Journey”.
