Self accountability tip. I started this calendar In Jan to keep track of how often I trained. Seeing it regularly and having that visual helps me not slack off as much. I love the post workout endorphin rush but sometimes struggle to get going. Having set session times with a trainer can really help with accountability and doing the damn thing too.

This is why I strength train. Now I can do stuff like this. Mr 9 months is 9.5kg and little miss is 24kg. I had to squat for her to climb on too 🥵 only had to carry her 100m but I did it💪🏼

Mid 2021 I committed more seriously to regaining the strength I lost in pregnancy and shedding my excess body fat.
I stepped up my training to 3x 30min workouts a week. ( train hard and smart not long)
Prioritised meal prep and ensuring my home environment had plenty of food that would support my goals and went to bed early to maximise rest as I’m waking often to feed my little guy through the night.

Early postpartum I felt very weak and scared to do any kind of rough and tumble play with my daughter. Thankfully through taking it slow I can now easily pick up my daughter, even do squats with her 24kg on my back.

I share this because I know what it’s like not feel physically unable to keep up with the demands of motherhood, I understand the sleep deprivation and how busy mum life is. I’m here when you feel ready to work at building your strength, energy and vitality. I love having parents and their littles in my studio.

Having a baby can dramatically change your body shape and composition. Luckily regaining your shape and strength is pretty simple. Here shows my first months progress since I decided to make an effort at 3moths PP.
What I did:
🤩Went to bed earlier to maximise rest. ( I wake multiple times to feed baby and resettle toddler)
🤩 Started strength training again. ( 1-2x 30min sessions each week)
🤩Stopped buying as much junk food ( if it’s not in the house I can’t eat it) instead I ate more fresh fruit and added veggies to my usual eggs breakfast.

Small changes add up, I can’t wait to see the changes when I compare next month

Hi all, it’s getting close to baby time so I’m no longer taking new clients. Current clients have a few more weeks with me before I go on Maternity leave. It’s a very exciting time!
There likely won’t be much shared here for a while but I’ll post again once I’m ready to see you all back in the studio. See you in September.

Proud of the progress mick has made since coming out of lockdown. He is going into the new year leaner and stronger. He hit the milestone of lifting more than his body weight last session 💪🏼💪🏼
