MEET MR BOLAND πŸ‰ PLAYER & CBSHS TEACHER

Did you know one of our teachers is currently playing for the Redcliffe Dolphins Queensland Cup team?

Mr Boland is a Sport and Geography teacher at Clontarf Beach State High School and co-runs our CBSHS NRLW Program. Balancing teaching with 15–20 hours of training and games each week, he brings current high-level rugby league experience directly into the classroom and onto the field.

From local fixtures to travelling across Queensland and beyond for competition, Mr Boland understands the commitment, teamwork and resilience required to succeed in rugby league.

πŸ₯° Our FREE CBSHS NRLW Program continues to grow, providing a fun, safe and supportive environment where students can develop their skills, confidence and passion for the game.

Interested in joining? We are always looking to welcome new players to the team! Yes it's FREE πŸ‘Œ https://forms.office.com/r/2aaJnU0zqM

🌺 FLOWER POWER IN SCIENCE! 🌺

Year 9 Science students in Mr Richmond’s class rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on with hibiscus flower dissections as part of their learning about plant reproduction.

Students carefully explored the different parts of a flower, identifying structures such as petals, stamens, stigma, style and o***y to better understand how flowering plants reproduce.

A great practical lesson that brought science to life and helped students see plant biology up close! πŸ”¬πŸŒΏ

Year 8 Japanese students wrapped up the semester by getting hands-on in the kitchen, making their own onigiri (rice balls) and trying traditional green tea πŸ΅πŸ™

They put their Japanese language skills into action, describing the food and drink while applying everything they’ve learned throughout the term’s food unit.

A fun and flavour-filled way to finish the semester β€” we look forward to what’s next! 🎌
