Christmas is still a month away but we wont say no to early presents! This big brake kit will be put through its paces next weekend at morgan park raceway on the Subaru WRX. With 8 pot in the front, 4 pot in the back and a slotted rotor this bad boy is sure to pull us up in no time.

This will be a showstopper no doubt so come see it in action at our next meet. Looking forward to seeing everyone trackside!

Leggett Racing has become the 2019 Australian Hillclimb Champion in Improved Production!

Day 2 and the Australian Hillclimb Championship is now done and dusted with an amazing outcome for the team and particularly Brandon Leggett who managed to smash the track record for the second day in succession finishing with an amazing first place in 48.93 seconds (almost a full second better than the standing record and his third track record in the last three meets).

Competition proved fierce throughout the weekend with the last year’s first place team, the current NSW champion, the previous track record holder amongst a bumper field of 13 drivers. Placings changed constantly throughout the final day and weather loomed menacingly from the mid-morning onwards. Brandon was the last car to run in the class and had everything crossed that the rain would not fall until his final, and ultimately victorious, run of the day had been completed

Greg Leggett showed continued improvement over the weekend to finish with a new PB of 52.36 and importantly matching Brandon’s sector across the top of the mountain. At the end of his final run, Greg promised to give Brandon a run for his money at the opening round in 2020.

Day 1 is now done and dusted and it has been a mixed bag for the Leggett Racing team.

The #191 Leggett Accountants Subaru WRX was sidelined early in the day, first by an intercooler issue and then by a busted gearbox which will unfortunately see it on the trailer for the rest of the weekend. Driver Taylor Leggett was understandably dissapointed but says that he will be back in March for the state round looking to push for class honours.

The #90/190 Leggett Accountants Holden Commodore fared better with both drivers posting steller times. Early in the day Greg Leggett smashed his personal best to finish the day in 9th place with a time of 53.64 with plenty of areas to find more time tomorrow. The car's other driver, Brandon Leggett pulled out all the stops to end the day on top with a new track record in his class with a time of 49.33 seconds. There is still plenty of racing to come tomorrow with the top 3 cars separated by only 0.5 seconds. However the elements may play a deciding factor with heavy rain forecasted from 11am onwards.

Its now less than a week out from our biggest racing event of the year, the 2019 Australian Hillclimb Championships held at the picturesque Mt Panorama Racing Circuit in Bathurst. If you cant make it in person to the track this weekend then be sure to follow the live stream by BLEND LINE TV.

The whole team is looking forward to finishing the year with some great results by pushing for some podium finishes in the Improved Production class! 👊👍

This last weekend saw the Leggett Racing team take on the Wollongong round of the NSW State Hillclimb Championship at the Historic Huntley Hillclimb.

Our three drivers had amazing results across the board with the #190/90 Leggett Accountants Holden Commodore of Brandon and Greg Leggett being driven to 1st and 3rd respectively in their class. Brandon also set a new class-track record with a blistering 25.58 seconds, nearly 2 seconds ahead of the previous record. Brandon's win also sees him snare 3rd place in the 2019 class championship.

Taylor Leggett pushed the #191 Leggett Accountants Subaru WRX to the absolute limit taking second in class and recording a 27.02 run. With improvements set to be added over the summer break he looks likely to be pushing for a class championship in 2020.

Next stop for Leggett Racing is the national championships at Bathurst in November where all our drivers will be battling it out in a massive Improved Production field.
