We now travel Australia full-time, working and fitting in life along the way. After having kids, I felt what so many mums feel: like I’d poured everything into everyone else and had nothing left for myself. I was tired, scattered, and unsure where I had gone in the process. These small steps are BIG wins. This chick is just unstoppable now. completed the Reset 2 months ago and is now into her second 8-week Strength & Conditioning block.
I'll post the podcast I did with her tomorrow so you can get a little insight into her journey so far.

The biggest shift for Engela to allow herself to be so successful is to drop the all-or-nothing-mindset. She didn't love it at first but now she thrives, taking full control of her choices - she can have drinks and platters with girlfriends and miss a sesh or two, and then get straight back on the horse. No more throwing in the towel. No more feeling guilty or like she's letting herself down. No more mum guilt. She's living life to the fullest. Being her strongest, healthiest, happiest self.
It doesn't come easily ladies - but it's so doable. And it gets easier each step you take 👊

I'm not a vibe on my rest days 🤣
Anybody else?!

Among all the chaos of kids, biz and travel, I cannot think straight if I don't get the blood pumping!
It sounds counter intuitive but I actually am MORE productive the days I train. I'm a much better mum, wife and I even make better food/drink choices when I've trained vs a rest day.
You'd imagine taking an hour out of your day may add to the chaos, but its the opposite!

One minute we're X version of ourselves, and then next you have a whole new reality. It doesn't gradually come into your new responsibilities. All of a sudden its upon you, around you and within you.
Engela developed PPD - in a body and mind that felt flooded with a different world - one she wasn't accustomed to.
After my first born, I truly stopped giving a rats about what I looked like - to the point I just lost self respect. I didn't want to jump into social situations and felt like there was a long road ahead that was inescapable.
It's not that we didn't love our babies - or that we didn't love being a mother. It just consumed us, left us feeling like we didn't know the person we we're any more.

Identity was never something I thought too much about, until it disappeared from me and I felt like there was nothing there worth being excited about.

So what does it look like once you can start taking steps out of that space you thought there was no end to?

All those years ago, when I would catch a bus to the local gym as a teenager and pay $5 casual entry (wagging school mind you, sorry mum!) I had no idea what I was starting.

The beauty of exercise is it can be the catalyst for a lot of things. Nutrition. Following up on health problems. Your child's relationship with health. Mental health. Social health.
Your fitness levels literally improve your immune response to sickness.
Your success in the workplace/within business improves.
You can cope with any adverse circumstances better, because you practive being under pressure, and continuing on despite the difficulty.
It has helped me in so many ways. But damn I wish that 15 year old walked into a Crossfit gym sometimes 🤣

I have started online coaching! I'm using Trainerize and absolutely loving this app, you will too... it's so good!
We have programs for beginner - advanced. I just did a dumbbell one and I was out for a good ten minutes afterward 😅 what a doozy. There will be add-on programs like boxing (ready to go), weightlifting, skipping and handstand progressions to keep things interesting 🙂
I've got a little sale going to start the new year where if one person joins, their other half can have the first year completely free. And I'm all ears! Any ideas or feedback please send it my way as I've been coaching in person for almost 5 years now, but never online!
I've got two options rolling at the moment -
POWER SESSIONS - a library of workouts for every space. Home, gym, park, caravan... the list goes on! 15-50 minutes. Added to weekly. ($15pw)
STRENGTH AND SHRED - a 1:1 program and coaching service where you get a fully personalised week of sessions suited to your lifestyle and goals.
- Working off 6 week cycles all designed by me.
- Weekly check-ins and habit tracking.
- Nutrition can start at basic macros advice or go all the way to a full week of 3 meals a day provided with shopping lists as well. Price scales from $50-$75pw.
