Vale Vince Lester 💚💛

The Clermont Bears Senior Rugby League Club would like to acknowledge the passing of a very important part of our club’s history, Vince Lester.

Vince served as President of the Clermont Football Club/Rugby League from 1968 to 1974 and was also Vice-President of the Central Highlands Rugby League.

During his seven years as President, Clermont enjoyed a successful period on the football field, including premiership success. Vince later spoke proudly of his time leading the club and the people who helped make those years so special.

While many people will remember Vince for his remarkable contribution to Clermont and his many years representing regional Queensland, to us he will also be remembered as a man who helped build the foundations of rugby league in Clermont.
On behalf of our committee, players, past players, supporters and the entire Bears family, we extend our sincere condolences to Vince’s family and friends.

Thank you for your contribution to our club, our town and the game of rugby league, Vince.

A proud part of Clermont Bears history.

We are very proud to announce this Clermont Old Boys Community Initiative - Grant from the Clermont Pharmacy has once again delivered with an incredible evening planned for the men in our community at the upcoming Jugs & Jocks Men’s Health Night. Supporting the health and wellbeing of our Bears - both past and present is something we consider as one of the driving factors behind the Old Boys club and so we are proud to announce that the Old Boys club will be covering the cost of attendance to this event and will be attending as a united community. If you are an Old Boy and would like to attend alongside the players please send us a message asap so we can finalise our booking.
