ROUND 6 - City to Country Trail at Wimmera Kart Racing Club Inc will also be a South Australia v Victoria State Of Origin which now be an annual trophy between the two rival states!

South Australia have had our measure in the past!

How will it work? Well it depends on who finishes higher in the final..

Sam Stephens wins - 1 point to SA
if Stephens finishes 2nd and a vic wins its 1 point to vic, If there is more in a class the top Vic drivers will be balanced off how many SA guys are in that class and so on..

yes the odds stack up for the Victorians this time around.. as more chances to win or position above but I'm sure SA will be up for the challenge and next year if its run in SA it will be around the other way..

Hey 4SS Community,

Recently Matt and Sebastian Stringer had their go-kart trailer stolen with their two go-karts and all their racing gear in the trailer unfortunately they lost all their go Karting equipment but we're able to recover their trailer thanks to some good Samaritans.

I know that some people are reserved to donate as it's for go-karting and most GoFundMe pages are for people with illness or some hardships but in Matt and Seb's case they are too young kids funding their racing career on their own and just are looking for a little bit of a kickstart to be able to rebuild to get back on track.

So if you're able to spare a few dollars, please help contribute and hopefully we'll see Matt and Sarbach on track soon thank you!

4SS Lights - City to Country Trail
After Round 5 Portland District Karting Club

A wet qualifying seen Edward Bourke put it on pole with another rookie in Jacob Bond in P2 but it wasn't till Heat 1 where we seen the grid switch around with the fast guys who qualified towards the rear take over Heat 1 and cement themselves going forward into Heat 2,3 and the Final.

 Will Burfit won the first two heats by a small margin over Ethan Jamieson, but it was Jamison who went on to win Heat 3 and the Final to take his first ever victory in 4SS after some really strong performances prior.

Ryan Norman backed up his consistent run of late with a P3 in the final and some really good points and now leads the championship in points over Patrick Mouser, Will Burfitt, Ethan Jamison and Edward Burke.

The Dino-4 Kart of Lucas Harvey had another disappointing round with some engine troubles. Once again looks like a clutch is locked up causing some engine damage. Hope to see him back for a strong performance at Horsham.

Edward Bourke, although qualified first didn't have quite the pace of the guys up towards the front but still managed to finish in position four.

 Championship leader Patrick Mouser still looking for his first victory but still consistent across the board sitting second now after round five of the trail!

Let's move forward to round six of the trail at Horsham, which is Wimmera Kart Racing Club Inc on July 27

4SS Medium - City to Country Trail after round 5 Portland District Karting Club

Jake Holland was a welcomed return after missing two races, finishing on the podium after Harrison Hibbs who won heat 3 did a half spin backwards (in a borrowed DKS x6 chassis after his older arrow required some welding repairs) which allowed Holland to take 2nd over Marcellus Strangis who P2 mostly on the day took home 3rd place in the final.

But it was Will Wade's day winning 3 out of for heats including the final where he won by almost 6 seconds in a Slama like performance!

Wade will have to bring his A game for next round where it will be featured heavily with South Australians who have had the vics measured this year !

Other notable performances was Shane Wheat another good round with a p4 and now in top 5 in championship standings, Phill Hobbs struggled with difference in grip between a lecont on his 2 stroke and the hard compound of the Maxxis White tyre but still managed to finish 6th in the final.

Simon Arnold had to go past Kart Ready and pick his chassis up on the way to Portland after a straighten and check over, assemble it Saturday and finished 5th in the final with another consistent result!

🏁 4SS Heavy's - City to Country Trail
After round 5 Portland District Karting Club

Jack Ryan was a late entry and to no surprise backed up where he left off at Hamilton with a clean sweep of all heats taking victory in the final making him a contender for the championship, well a mathematical one at least.

Nathan Daley put it on pole but wasn't able to hold off Ryan playing second fiddle to him all day, but a nice bag off points as drop rounds to take in to account soon.

Oliver Bonaccorso has kept showing improvements and was rewarded with a 3rd in the final battling it out with Andrew Hall who isn't a push over so a well deserved podium to Oliver and also good to get a father son podium combo also with Elijah winning 4SS Juniors.

Andrew Hall doesn't quite have the pace as the leaders but with a new motor arriving he might just find his straps towards the pointy end with Orange and Silver plates coming up towards the end of the year!

Justin Eagle, Jeremy Bond and Dan Fisher best of the rest swapping all positions all day!

Great turn out with 16 heavy's! Thanks for everyone who travelled far and wide!

🏁 4SS Juniors - City to Country Trail after Round 5 at Portland District Karting Club

Jobe Forster came out the box as he did at Hamilton taking the first 3 heat wins to win 7 in a row but it was Elijah Bonaccorso who won the final by 1.5 with consistency. Ewie Govan continues to get faster with every round, finishing P2 in every Heat and a round win is just around the corner for him! James Davie returned after missing Hamilton and is getting quicker each time just like Miss Frankie West.. she's coming along leaps and bounds with the more seat time she gets!

We welcome Jax Blake to trail! First race out, Well Done ✅
