South Coast competition team today competed in the first MASA Trophy event for 2026. Winds were not favourable for the tasks set, 15 knots gusting to 23 knots. On the whole the team consisting of Dail Opulskis, Michael Guiness, Kirk Winters and Kevin Wright, did very well, although Dail thought the trees were there to increase the degree of diffculty. (Sorry Dail this did not get you any more points).The quality of flying was not unexpected from the reigning champions. Well done.

Good day flying at South Coast today. Good rurn up and all the ducks were in a row - weather Wind, Wind direction, few flies and a good roll up. Even flew the gyrocopter.

Very successful Southern scale Fly in at the South Coast club. The MAAA owned field is being put to good use. Approx 42 members, partners and members from other clubs attended. At least 30 flyers. Weather was excellent. The new strip was given a good workout. Thank you all for attending.

Sorry everyone, the event has been cancelled due to the forecast poor weather.

Hi everyone, we are having another fly in for the southern chapter of the Scale Aircraft Society of SA on August 11th. Any models legal for the field can fly, sorry turbines not allowed. MAAA membership required to fly. Burgers and chips for lunch, $10.
