After getting our campaign off to the perfect start with a convincing win in Round 1, Rhino's Squad is back on the road as we travel to the Gold Coast for another important clash.

Tomorrow, we will be facing Gold Coast Gorkhas CC at Sam Loxton Oval, with play starting at 9:00 AM.

Momentum is on our side, but every game is a new challenge. The boys are ready to bring the same intensity, discipline, and fighting spirit as we look to build on our winning start and make it two from two.

🏏 Match Summary | QNCA Winter 2026 – Round 1

Nepalese Rhino Cricket Club opened their QNCA Winter 2026 Grade A campaign with a margin of 66-run victory over Brisbane Nepalese Cricket Club - BNCC

After being sent in to bat, Rhino suffered an early top-order collapse, but captain Vishal Bhusal stood tall under pressure with a composed 60 off 54 balls, anchoring the innings with patience and intent. Veteran Pukar Gurung provided the perfect support with a counter-attacking 38 off 28 balls, and the pair stitched together a crucial partnership to revive the innings and guide Rhino to a competitive 157/7 from their 20 overs.

Defending the total, Rhino's bowlers came out firing. The attack maintained disciplined lines and lengths, created relentless pressure, and struck at regular intervals to deny Brisbane Nepalese CC any momentum. Debutant Ganesh Joshi impressed with 2 wickets, while fellow debutant Drona Dhanuk claimed 1 wicket. Pukar and Vishal both finished with 2 wickets each, wrapping up a clinical bowling display as the opposition were bowled out for 91 in 14.4 overs.

A resilient batting recovery, disciplined bowling, and sharp fielding combined for a complete team performance to start the winter season on a winning note.
