You need the right movements, done well, over time.

Parents, do your child’s knees cave in when they squat or land from a jump?

A bit of knee cave (knee valgus) is really common in growing kids. It doesn’t mean your child is “broken” or doomed to get injured.

And strength training, running and jumping are usually part of the solution, not the problem.

At D8 we focus on:
• building hip, glute, and quad strength
• improving movement coordination and control
• developing a strong athletic foundation for long‑term development

We’re looking for a casual coach to join the D8 team, with a clear pathway to more hours for the right person.

What they’ll do:
• Coach small groups: JuniorGym, athletes, adults & ForeverStrength
• Build their own 1‑1 client base
• Get mentoring in programming, coaching craft & S&C principles

Great fit if they:
• Have (or are close to) Cert IV in Fitness
• Train themselves and care about strength & performance
• Are a good human who can communicate and take feedback

Stephen is a strength & performance coach with experience in adult training, aswell as youth and amateur athletic development, and he’ll be jumping back into coaching:

🟩 Tuesdays – Adult, ForeverStrength, JuniorGym & Athlete Group
🟩 Thursday mornings – Adult strength & ForeverStrength

He’s high‑energy, big on technique and loves helping juniors, athletes and adults feel more confident under the bar.

Stephen also has limited spots available for 1‑on‑1 coaching.

Feel RDLs in your lower back instead of your hamstrings?

You’re not broken, it’s just setup and technique

Here’s the fix:
• Soft bend in your knees
• Push your hips back like you’re closing a car door
• Keep the bar close to your legs and your chest proud

Do that and you’ll feel the stretch in your hamstrings, not your lower back. This is exactly why we fix technique before we ever worry about load.
