Roland recently dropped into Adaptive Human Performance for an update on his time trial position and the integration of a new cockpit upgrade.

The goal? To establish a position that is repeatable and aligns with the physiological and aerodynamic demands seen in the professional ranks.

A performance-driven approach saw the need to address key equipment choices, combined with a comprehensive off-bike assessment. Evaluating joint kinematics from STT enabled Roland to fine-tune critical biomechanical principles, supporting the specific demands of a time trial position that is both sustainable and aerodynamically efficient.

Next step? Aero testing to validate the positional and equipment changes — coming soon.

Upgrades completed in a focused session:
- Saddle choice refinement
- Driveline optimisation
- SYNC Ergonomics Aerobar 3 Integration

Successful start to the year for CJ putting in a stellar performance to place 7th at this year’s Australian National Road Championships.

“After missing 2025 and my first year in Perth, I was looking forward to a different circuit and went into the race optimistic about an aggressive outcome, Ideally a strong mix of riders and teams that could establish a gap, either to contest the medals or force the favourites to bridge across later.

Once the break was established and opened up a solid gap, it was clear fairly early that Jayco were well positioned, with several fast finishers represented in the move.

When Luke went clear with a well-timed attack that I wasn’t able to cover, my focus shifted to the options from the main group. With fatigue setting in after being caught with a couple of laps to go it was all about hanging tough to give myself and teammates a chance for the final to see what opportunities presented.

I was pleased with how the body held up, a testament to the position work done with Adaptive HP, and I gave it everything for a result on the final run up into Kings Park to finish 7th place overall, which I am really proud of”

Big year ahead for CJ, including, Oceania Champs, and the UCI Asia + European Tour with Ccache Body Wrap.

At the 2026 Elite National ITT, Tali Lane-Welsh (Ccache Bodywrap) delivered a controlled and well-executed ride in challenging wind conditions, placing 10th overall!

“It was a very different TT this year, with strong winds forcing a slight change in strategy. I felt good setting off, but found it tough to push high power while keeping it rubber side down, so I focused on holding the position we’d dialled in with AdaptiveHP and RideSync.”

Stacked calendar ahead for Tali, including Oceania Championships, and building towards the UCI Asia Tour with Ccache Bodywrap

Building off a successful 2025 campaign, Dylan Proctor-Parker (RCA) seized the opportunity to commit to the decisive move at the 2026 U23 Australian Road National Championships, finishing 3rd with a one-minute gap to the riders behind.

“My plan for the day was to race from the front and let the heavy hitters come to me late in the race. I managed to execute what I set out to, forming the mid-race breakaway, then being joined later by two of the strongest boys in the race with a lap to go.”

ProVelo Super Series and remainder of the Australian racing calendar will be Dylan’s main objective for the year.

When working through a cleat set-up, the essentials go well beyond bolt placement. It starts with the biomechanics of the foot — selecting a shoe that suits the foot, not forcing the foot to adapt to a shoe.

From there, support can be refined with insoles and optimised using the right combination of cleats, pedal systems, or shims where needed. Together, these elements create a stable platform that maximises power transfer and maintains comfort throughout the ride.

In position optimisation, individual differences often lie in the physical condition of the athlete.

Cycling requires a certain range of motion at each joint of the lower limbs, and places sustained load on the spine. If an individual cannot achieve the basic mobility requirements, one or a combination of three things must change:

1. Specific exercises need to be used to target the soft tissue structures limiting flexibility

2. Equipment choices need to support the rider’s posture, minimising compensation and underlying biomechanical dysfunction

3. Their position needs to work within the limits of their flexibility and range of motion

The clinical component of bike fitting cannot be overlooked. Assessment, and an understanding of the biomechanical nature of musculoskeletal pain, pathology, and dysfunction, contribute immensely to improving the human-bike interaction.

Successful start to 2025 for Dylan at the Australian Road National Championships, great progress putting on a strong and consistent performance across the week.

“Holding a consistent and aerodynamic position on the TT bike was one of my goals having worked closely with Adaptive HP and Sync Ergonomics! Felt strong and carried good speed through all corners. Didn’t have the legs I was hoping for, so came away with 9th place, but I see myself up there next year”.

“The road race was fast-flowing and undulating, perfect for an early breakaway. A small group, including myself, formed early with more riders bridging across. By the final lap, I was in the decisive group with the race favourite. After leading most of the day, I was stoked to finish 5th as the last survivor from the original break”.

Tali came to the studio last year with one goal ~ maximise his potential ahead of Nationals.

On race day, he delivered a powerful performance, placing sixth in a stacked elite men’s field.

“Great sensations out on course today! Windy in parts, so I really felt I benefited from the work with Erin and Jordy , along with Ken . Position and equipment are such a big part of a strong time trial, and I feel I achieved that today being so close to some of the WT competition!”
