2026 SOUTHERN WINTERBALL – REGULAR SEASON DONE!

And that’s a wrap on the minor rounds! After 20 rounds and 18 games each, we’ve had cold afternoons, wet diamonds, wild weather, night games, home-run bombs, forfeits and plenty of laughs along the way.

BREW JAYS – 1st (30 points)
A fantastic regular season sees Brew Jays finish on top at 14-2-2. They led the competition with 173 runs scored and a huge .703 run percentage, earning themselves the Minor Premiership. A very consistent season from start to finish.

SWEATHOGS – 2nd (23 points)
Now THIS is where it got interesting! Sweathogs finish 11-6-1 and secured second place in the final round.

BLACKHAWKS – 3rd (23 points)
Blackhawks finish 10-5-3, with the battle between second and third going right down to the wire. Sweathogs and Blackhawks finished level on competition points, meaning it came down to run percentage to decide who gets the all-important home-team advantage in Semi Final A. Sweathogs' .615 edged out Blackhawks' .581. You can't ask for a much closer finish!

WANDERERS – 4th (18 points)
After spending much of the year doing exactly what their name suggests and wandering around the ladder, Wanderers finish 8-8-2 and book their place in finals.

FUBAR – 5th (8 points)
A 4-14 record doesn't tell the whole story. FUBAR kept turning up, kept having a crack and provided plenty of entertainment along the way. There was never any guarantee what would happen when FUBAR took the field... which is exactly how they like it.

DAD'S ARMY – 6th (6 points)
The wooden spoon belongs to Dad's Army , but they certainly didn't go quietly. They battled through the entire season, picked up a couple of wins and draws, and kept enjoying their baseball regardless of what the scoreboard said.

SO NOW IT'S FINALS TIME!
The regular season is finished. The ladder is locked. And after needing run percentage to separate 2nd and 3rd, we couldn't have asked for a better setup heading into finals.

Now the ladder means nothing... Win when it matters.

The Sportsmanship Award has a clear winner for 2026, but the Home Runs Hit and Home Runs Pitched awards are still too close to call!

With the final games of the minor rounds this Saturday, it’s your last chance to hit some bombs, or serve up a few easy strikes, and get your name on the trophy!

ROUND 19 WRAP-UP — ONE ROUND TO GO!

And just like that, we’re heading into the final round of the regular season this Saturday!

Brew Jays have held top spot for most of the season and head into the final round with a healthy lead. They’ve been the benchmark, but there’s still one more game to get through before finals!

Blackhawks are sitting in second place and are in a great position heading into the final round.

Sweathogs are in third, but with Blackhawks and Sweathogs both sitting on 10 wins, there’s still plenty to play for. This one could come right down to the final results!

Wanderers sit fourth and will be looking to finish the regular season strongly before turning their attention to finals.

FUBAR have one last regular-season opportunity to do what FUBAR do best — cause some chaos and potentially ruin somebody else’s Saturday.

Dad’s Army may be holding the wooden spoon, but they’ve battled away all season and have one last chance to add another win before we wrap up the home-and-away season.

ONE ROUND TO GO!

After months of cold mornings, questionable weather, sore bodies, home runs, close games and plenty of laughs, we’ve made it to the final Saturday.

One last regular round… then it’s FINALS TIME!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who dressed up and helped make Strange Dayz such a fun and memorable day!

Even with the crazy rules, mixed-up teams and plenty of chaos, everyone played in great spirits and there were smiles and laughs all round. That’s exactly what Strange Dayz is all about!

Thanks to everyone who got involved, embraced the madness and made the day such a success.

DON’T FORGET — IT’S STRANGE DAYZ THIS SATURDAY!

The FINAL teams are below! If you’re unable to play, please let me know as soon as possible so we can make any changes needed.

DRESS CRAZY. DRESS BRIGHT. HAVE FUN!
Strange Dayz is all about having a laugh, so dig out your craziest, brightest and most ridiculous outfit and get into the spirit of the day!

DON’T FORGET THE SILLY RULES!
Yep, they’re back — including the rule where ANYBODY can catch you out!

We’d love the late-game teams to get there early and line the fence lines during the 1pm games. Keep your eyes on those foul balls because players, scorers, spectators and anyone hanging around the fence can make the catch for an out!

THE STRANGE DAYZ CHALLENGE AT 3PM
We also need ALL PLAYERS to take part in our little game challenge before the late game.

You’ll be playing for your NORMAL Winterball team, and the winning team earns the right to submit 3 theme options for the Breakup Party!

The challenge itself? You’ll find out on the day.

Come ready to dress ridiculous, play some silly baseball and have a great day.
