WINTER PANTHERS TEAM SELECTION - WEEK SEVEN

Round Six for our seniors tomorrow sees Black host Gold at our winter home in Gruyere. The annual derby where Gold have a great chance of claiming their first victory!

This is your opportunity to support both teams and cheer them on together.

WINTER PANTHERS RESULTS - WEEK SIX

Seniors were called off Saturday morning due to the forecast weather, and have been rescheduled for 27th June.

Under 14s fared much better with no rain yesterday. They played a great game at home, and got the win! It was a fantastic day, with four retirees and some amazing work in the field.

Remember - Black and Gold teams face off in the CPCC Annual Winter Derby next Saturday, and our U14s get the week off. See you at training tomorrow.

Under 14s play Round Four on Sunday at home against Monbulk.

WINTER PANTHERS DERBY

No cricket this weekend, so here's a friendly reminder to schedule your afternoon in to watch CPCC's two senior winter teams go head to head for points on the MYCA East comp ladder and clubhouse bragging rights!

In Round Six, only two weeks away now, Black XI will host Gold XI at our home of winter cricket, Gruyere Recreation Reserve. The Black team have won all five previous derby's, but this year Gold are looking really good to break that run.

We look forward to seeing lots of our Panthers supporters and friends around the ground cheering both teams on. We'll have the BBQ in action and drinks available too.

VALE - JOHN MALBON

Chirniside Park Cricket Club is saddened to share the news of John Malbon's passing early Sunday morning.

A loving father to CPCC life member and secretary, Brad Malbon, many will remember John from Brad's time in the juniors, as he supported the team from the sidelines, often being the official team scorer of Brad's matches too.
Over the past decade or so, John took to watching on from the comforts of his car, occasionally strolling into the clubrooms to proudly celebrate his son's wickets or red ink scores.

The club extends their condolences to beloved wife Janne, children Shelley, Megan and Brad, and grandchildren Freya and Evan.

A celebration of John's life will be held at Le Pine Funerals in Lilydale this Friday, 5th June at 2:00pm. A live stream link will also be available.
