What a year it has been! We hope that you've enjoyed being part of our fam just as much as we've enjoyed having you here ❤️‍🔥

We hope you're taking this time to unwind, spend some time with your loved ones & re-energise ready for the new year 🎉

This year has been a big one, you guys have shown us truly what community is about, we've been blown away by your camaraderie and the fam when you step in the gym 🏠

We've seen friendships flourish both in and out of the gym with you guys creating so many fun traditions and memories 💌

Each one of you have accomplished something this year to be proud of, we've seen long time and first time competitors take the floor, feats of endurance, and all things fitness. End of week self-care checklist:

✔️ Made time for exercise

Could bad sleep be getting in the way of your performance but more importantly your everyday function 🤝🏻

You need at least 7 hours of sleep but up to 9, it differs from person to person but here's why:

💪🏻 When you sleep growth hormones are released which drive protein growth (making you stronger)

🏋🏻 In REM and deep sleep your brain consolidates motor patterns and skill learning (this is where the olympic lift technique you learnt turns into long-term memory)

🧪 Sleep regulates your hormones, when you sleep less you produce more cortisol which reduces production of other key hormones like testosterone and insulin

❤️‍🩹 Less sleep = increased risk of injury (due to poorer reflexes, movement quality and tissue repair)

🍌 Sleep supports metabolism by increasing glucose tolerance, reducing hunger hormones, increasing satiety (fullness) hormone which helps to reduce cravings

So here's your sign to take your sleep seriously & stop that late night scrolling 💤
