👷💪 CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!! NEXT WEEKEND - WORKING BEE! 💪👷
Exciting news, it's all systems go for our much-anticipated resurfacing of courts 8 and 9!

Before it can be started, we need to pull up the existing carpet and prepare the courts for the contractors to come and install the new surface.

Every hour of work we do is valuable money saved for the club, so please come down and help get this done. Many hands make light work!

Come down from 8am on Saturday, food and drinks will be provided to the helpers! No problem if you are late, we will be going a while!

What to Bring (in order of importance):
- Elbow grease!
- Shovel
- Stanley Knives (for cutting the carpet)
- Wheelbarrow
- Blowers
- A ute or two (to move the carpet off-site)

🏆Tennis Traveling in the Region!🥈🎾
Massive congratulations to three of our intrepid club juniors—Ashton, Banjo and Hudson, who traveled across the region for different tournaments this weekend.

Ashton made a camping trip to Pittsworth for the last regional JDS before the State Finals, gaining 2nd Place at the two-day event in both his doubles and singles events and playing with smarts, grit and skill above his years. Love your work Ashton! 🥈🥈👏👏🏕️

Banjo and Hudson both traveled to Miles for the inaugural Farrell Tennis Miles Colourball tournament, and what a trip for the two! They had the best time, having a ball and meeting new friends - even getting to play against each other for a spot in the Red Ball final! Banjo snuck the win in a great match against the two friends and getting 1st Place for the day, with Hudson coming home strong for a well-deserved bronze medal as well! 🥇🥉🥳👏

Thanks to the parents again for making such an effort to get your kids out to these tournaments and especially for helping when needed, it makes such a huge difference.

Well done team - keep on enjoying your tennis!

🎾 LADIES MORNING TENNIS – EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST ☕

We are looking to launch a weekly Chinchilla Ladies' Tennis Morning in the coming months, and we want to hear from you!

Whether you’re a seasoned player or haven't held a racquet in years, we want you!

General plan below, specific format will be dependent on feedback:

All Skill Levels Welcome: Friendly, low-stress social matches.

Coffee & Chat: Stick around after play for a catch-up.

Kid-Friendly: Bring the little ones along! Our fully fenced area has plenty to keep them safe and entertained while you play.

🎾🔴🟠🟢 🎾Dalby Colour Ball Comp🎾🟢🟠🔴🎾
Today, eight of our junior tennis legends (and their legend parents!) made the trip down the road to visit our friends and neighbours at the Dalby & District Tennis Assn for another round of the regional Colour Ball Comp.

Our amazing Chinchilla juniors—including tournament first-timer Alek 👏⭐—joined players from around the region to compete in red, orange, and green ball divisions. The standard of tennis, fun, skill, and sportsmanship on display was fantastic once again. It’s amazing to see how quickly the kids are developing with tournament experience!

Special Mentions

Annabelle: Played up a grade and placed 3rd in the Girls' Green Ball Comp. Well done, Annabelle!

Alek: Winner of the Rising Star 🌟 Award. Alek only started playing tennis two weeks ago and is already competing in tournaments, embracing the challenge, and having a blast. Incredible work, Alek!

A big thank you to Utsav, Riley, and Coach Ben from Faultless Tennis Academy for running such an enjoyable and smoothly run day.

Finally, thank you to all the players for giving it their best, and a huge shoutout to the parents for putting in the kilometres to give the kids this opportunity. Days like this are what country junior sports are all about! 🎾👏

🎾BIG NEWS - PRIVATE TENNIS COACHING NOW AVAILABLE🎾
We are incredibly lucky to have Michael Dedajic , an incredible and fully qualified TA Level 2 Club Professional Coach, back in our region for the remainder of the year (and hopefully longer).
We are doubly lucky that he is offering his time to the club for both private and group tennis lessons, and at prices that are honestly far too cheap!
If you were thinking of getting into (or back into) tennis but wanted some pointers before getting back out on the court then honestly now is the time! Can book either as a single, or book for a group. Michael can cater to all ages!

This weekend wrapped up a huge few weeks for junior tennis in Chinchilla, with the Chinchilla JDS (Junior Development Series) being held on Saturday, following on from our first South Region Colourball Comp event last weekend and the start of our brand new weekly junior matchplay.

A club record 10 junior members played in the JDS tournament, making up over a third of total entries - amazing stuff team! Was amazing to see our club so well represented by such great young kids.

Big congratulations to all the JDS first timers: Adam, Lucy, Harris, Richie and Raff. What a fantastic experience for you all!

Thanks to all the visiting players and parents for making the trip to see us out here. Huge amounts of tennis was played, and the sportsmanship and exemplary behaviour of our visitors was noted by many. You were a pleasure to host - hope to see you all here again next year!

Rivalling the mammoth efforts on the courts were the efforts of our volunteers, with particular note to our secretary/tournament director Scott and our vice-president/canteen convenor Michelle. Anybody who has done either of those roles before know how much effort is involved - not only is it a 12 hour day on the day, it is days of preparation beforehand. We are lucky to have these people at our club :)
