Huge News for our Juniors!
Starting in Term 3 (Friday, 17th July), we are launching a new, weekly junior matchplay competition!
Open to all juniors, even those not currently playing or attending lessons - come down and give it a try! No commitments, can choose to play only the weeks you want.

All ages, all skills—your local tennis club wants YOU! 🎾🍉

Term 3 Senior Tennis Fixtures are starting soon, and we are on the hunt for extra players. Whether you are looking for a competitive match or a social hit, come enjoy some fun + fitness and play a 9-week season of tennis with us!

Here is what's on offer for Term 3 (Begins 14th July):
🔹 A-Grade (Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:30 PM): 2x Doubles Set, 1x Singles Set
🔹 B-Grade (Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:30 PM): 4x Doubles Sets

Costs:
💰 Only $90/season!
➕ Membership ($50/half year for seniors, $25 for juniors)

And what better way to get practice in than tonight at FREE Tennis Thursdays here at the club? 🙌 FREE racquet, ball, and court hire— no booking needed, all you need to do is turn up and play some tennis! Drop in any time after 6:00 PM and get some hitting in🎾

With all the court lights back up and running, we now want to fill the courts with players! So help us out and come down for a FREE hit this (and every) Thursday from 6:00 PM. Plenty of racquets, balls and courts for everybody - come down for a hit :)

🎾What a Day at the Tara JDS!🎾
Congratulations to our junior stars who had a go and entered the JDS held by our friends in Tara. The outstanding food served by the canteen (thanks Tara Tennis Club Inc.!) was only matched by the brilliant efforts and skill on display by the players.

Congratulations to all the Chinchilla players for a great day - Annabelle, Ashton, Declan, Kaden and honorary Chinchillan Karlos all played fantastic and their skill, efforts and sportsmanship did the club proud as always.

🎉🎉🎉 👩‍🎓🎾 👩‍🎓🎾 👩‍🎓🎾 🎉🎉🎉
Exciting news for our juniors - there are now another THREE Tennis Australia accredited coaches in town, with two of our amazing coaches Marni and Tamara joining our soon-to-be coach Bec for an intensive 2-day Tennis Australia 'Trainee' Coaching course last weekend.

Over the 16 hours of on-court and off-court activities, they learned the latest 'best-practice' coaching techniques, skills, drills and games, and came away with a ton of new knowledge they cannot wait to pass on to our juniors.

This is a huge achievement, thank you to Bec, Marni and Tamara for volunteering their whole weekend for this course - this is a big deal for the quality of lessons and coaching our juniors will be receiving.

Posting with just a few minutes left of National Volunteer Week, but as a volunteer I can forgive myself for the late post 😅

Our club, one of many sporting clubs that is wholly volunteer-run, simply would not exist without all the people mentioned in the attached thank you's (and a lot that I didn't get to mention).

This club offers something special, and these volunteers understand that. This is why they have been so generous with their time and efforts not just this year, but in all the years previously as well.

We are built on decades of volunteers before us, which has given the community and region an accessible, affordable, high-quality and fun social/sporting hub - something to be proud of.

So once again a huge and incredibly grateful THANK YOU to all who have volunteered, it is needed and appreciated.

Thanks again everybody - see you down at the courts soon!

Huge congratulations to Beau, Annabelle, Ashton and Karlos, who all represented Chinchilla District (and Tara) today in Roma for the South West Regional Tennis Trials. Well done, you all did your region proud!

And well done to Annabelle, Ashton and Karlos for being selected for the South West Tennis Team!

This is an incredible achievement for our local juniors, and we couldn't be prouder to see their hard work on the courts pay off. They'll be heading off to represent our region at the upcoming State Carnival from 14-17th July.

Best of luck to our trio—fantastic work!
