Weekend Highlights from Chinchilla Bowls Club

Dear Members and Friends,

Welcome to My First Weekly Wrap-Up

I thought it would be a great way to keep everyone up to date with what's been happening around the club, the bowls, the wins, the near misses, the trips away, and of course, some of the stories that are probably best told with a little creative editing! 😂
Firstly, a huge thank you to Jocelyn Haylock, who gave up her time to umpire our Zone Playoffs over the weekend. We really appreciate Jocelyn being here and helping everything run smoothly.

A special thank you to Billy for the outstanding condition of the greens. The greens looked fantastic all weekend and were a credit to the hard work and effort that goes into keeping them in such great shape.
A massive thank you also to Billy and the bar team for the amazing service, as always. Keeping a bowls club hydrated is no small task!

Thank you to The Clubhouse Grill for looking after everyone with the nibbles and lunch.

And most importantly, thank you to everyone who helped in any way, whether you were setting things up, helping around the greens, cleaning up, serving, organising, supporting, marking, scoring, cheering from the sidelines, or simply pitching in when something needed doing.
It takes a lot of people behind the scenes to make weekends like this happen, and sometimes those little jobs can easily go unnoticed. Please know that every bit of help is appreciated.
And if I've forgotten to mention anyone by name, please don't take offence, it's only Week One of the Wrap-Up... I'm still in training! 😂
So, grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy our first Weekly Wrap-Up.

What a cracking game for the first Zone Semi Final yesterday between Warwick East & Cunnamulla it came down to the last bowl by Warwick East to draw the absolute shot to take the Win 58-57
Congratulations to you all
Chinchilla now plays Warwick East in the Final 9am this morning
