Club Ladies 100up result

The final of the Ladles 100up saw Ashley Forbes (0) v Michelle Hamilton (-25). These two ladies put on a brilliant game of classic draw bowls. End after end saw the bowls clustered around the kitty.

Ashley maintained a 25 gap for much of the game, until Michelle scored a 10, then an 8 to close the gap to 80-85. A couple a close ends saw Ashley lead 94-91. Michelle played three lovely bowls, before Ashley cut the score to 8-2 in Michelle's favour.

That meant at the start of the last end, Michelle led 99-96. After Michelle put two bowls just behind the kitty, Ashley drew shot. After Michelle's last bowl, she led 6-4, holding game. Ashley calmly drew second shot with her last bowl within 4 inches of the kitty, winning the game103-102.

Such a high standard game was a credit to them both. Well done!

This is Ashley's first club singles win.
